I was in the car business just before retiring a couple of years ago as a manager of a high end new car dealership. In fact, I just helped lawcar with the purchase of his new E350 sport sedan, a vehicle I also just bought in October when the new 2012's hit the showrooms. I can't agree more with your comments about Mercedes back in the early 2000's - more problems ... Read More

So much depends on the road conditions where you drive. I have the insurance on my 2010 328i and just used it to replace the left front tire due to a screw puncture wound. The price of the tire alone was $310.00 on Tirerack.com. I got the insurance discounted to about $1000.00 when I bought the car. I would have broken even if the wheel had also been damaged. I typically see the older ones stating Tiptronic, which is very different of course. According to wiki, the PDK could be had in the 2009 Panamera, and, believe it or not, there is another generation of PDK even after that. I don't believe you'd find it too common until the 2010 models.
i have a 2010 535xi with about 33000 miles and it has given me virtually no problems and i'm still on my original set of tires. My earlier post was based on what they said in the April 2010 (annual auto) issue.

Thanks for the response. No, there was no explanation. The interesting thing is that they did recco the 535 in their 2009 April Cars Edition, but did not in the 2010 edition. BMW has shifted to a single turbo 300 hp this year. But I am glad to hear you have had no issues with yours.
I just had my fuel pump replaced as well on my 2009. I am very disappointed. This is my 4th BMW but may be my last.

Hi, I ultimately bought from Greenwich BMW from a saleslady that was honest and straightforward. When she gave me the price, I believed her. I love the car I got (CPO 2007 530i, loaded). I would try them. I used the BMW USA website and did a search on the vehicles within a 50 mile radius of my town in CT. That' s how I found mine. Also found Bridgeport BMW ... Read More
Does anyone have BMW Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 528i with 10,000 miles per year? Also, any BMW cash incentive on leases or loyalty cash for returning customers?
Playing a video on the front dash video display while not in park (and some require the parking brake, too) is illegal nearly everywhere and will get you one big fat ticket if it is noticed. Playing a video is only legal for back-seat passengers, which if the child is less than 12, is where she should be sitting anyway. Better to spring for a portable player.
Went to a dealer today to buy 2010 BMW 528XI and was told no more are being produced. They had none and would have to find one in order to fulfill any orders for a new vehicle. But not sure that if they found one it would be a good deal or not.
Remember that in this market, add $180 for Training and $300 for MACO to the invoice prices on Edmunds. I just bought a 2010 535xi wagon from Pace in Mamaroneck (same ownership as Greenwich BMW). I paid invoice + Training + MACO + $1000. I suspect you might be able to get a 528xi for between $500-$1000 over invoice. Act by end of business today (Jan 4) and you can get ... Read More
I am in CT and looking to buy a new 528XI with just steptronic and xenon in January. The MRSP with destination lists on BMW's webs site as $50,075. I would appreciate any suggestions that forum members would be able to share about what price to expect. O should I seek to use one of the buying services (Amex, others?) in order to avoid a difficult negotiation (which I am never any ... Read More
I am told that BMW have stopped production of the 2010 and that cars will not be available at such god deals as with the Mercedes E Class. Anyone heard any news on offers??
If you are thinking of leasing a 5 series in the next 120 days, the question do you pull the trigger now with holiday cash or wait another 1-3 months. I was told they are no longer making the 2010s and the new design for 2011 should hit the dealers in May. Take a look back 6-7 months at the E350 - MB was discounting the car $10k and leases were ... Hello: I am a first time BMW buyer and would appreciate help in my buying decision. I have been focussing in the 2007 CPO 5 series, primarily because of the 0.9% APR and 2 months prepayments offer, and have liked a 2007 525i with 35K miles on it, and end of warranty in Dec 2010. Its not loaded as it has only the premium package, does not have cold package but ... Read More
I had a chance to test drive a 540GT today. This had all of 20 some odd miles on it, so that may change as it gets some mileage on it. I found it tended to hunt gears at 30-40 mph on a curvy/hilly road. If you were going faster, it might not have done that. It feels like a heavy car even with this large engine. Acceleration was strong, but ... Read More
I have the same problem, dealer doesn't know what to do. Did you get yours fixed?? Was it the tires?? I have 700 miles on a 2010 528i.
My perception or comparison, if you like, was from this perspective: I got out of a 2005 Audi C6 A6 which was pretty well loaded and walked over to my new 2009 Audi B8 A4 (about 15 months ago). The switchgear, the steering wheel (although my A6 did not have paddle shifters), the console, the wood, the feel of the leather, the seat's firmness, the instrument cluster, the soft plastic on ... This board was very helpful. Here is my deal on 2010 528 xi, 36 months lease with 15K per year. Pick up in Munich: January 14, 2010. MSRP $50,720 includes added multi-contour seats,$1200, and satellite radio, $595. Agreed price: $44,110 is $500 over European invoice. Minus $2500 (BMW). Gave 7 refundable security deposits to lower money factor, equal to 7 monthly payments. Finally, $546 per month with NJ taxes included. Drive ... Read More
Car_man I am negotiating for the lease of a 2010 528i with M-Sport, Premium, Cold Weather, Sirius, Nav for MSRP $55,320. The dealer provided the following: 61% residual for 36 months with 10k/year (that's all I need) and money factor of .00285. The money factor seems to be high given other posts. They said that there is $2500 from BMW but they said I cannot get the $1,500 loyalty even though ... Read More

The specifications on the new 8-speed transmission in the GT says that it is modular, and designed to support all-wheel drive without changes in length, so this is likely to make all-wheel drive available eventually on the GT. Most of the info I've found implies that won't happen until late summer or fall 2010. Most articles are also kind of mute about whether the diesel will ever show up in the ... Read More
Looking to lease my second 528xi for 2010. Edmunds shows MSRP of $48,100 and invoice of $4,250. Dealer claims he's giving it to me for $500 over invoice. With december sales event and loyalty program, there is $4000 in bmw money.
