Re: 2011 BMW 528 Pricing [carbird]

Carbird, I have 19" sport rims on my 530i (2007) as measured from outer edge of rim straight across to outer edge (is that how you measure them?). They come with the sport package. If you get a basic 528, you will get basic rims, I don't know what size they are. The BMW rims are very very expensive, can easily cost over $2000 for a full set of 4, depending ... Read More

I looked at a beautifiul 2008 535i at Bridgeport BMW (CT) at the end of 2008 (CPO) had 27K miles on it, they were asking $38,900. it was black sapph, prem pkg, sports pkg, beautiful rims. I bought it last June at Greenwich CT BMW when it had 24K miles on the clock, they were asking $36,900, and came down to $36,200. The car is pristine, and still smells new even. If you are happy with the vehicle that's all that counts. I'm personally not crazy about tinting, I think if you have the right interior color, it could be OK, but I've seen it on Black Sapphire/Black leather and thought it looked way too dark. ... Yes, you are right that out of pocket service bills for late model lux cars can be upsetting. But consider this: the absolute biggest cost of car ownership is depreciation. Buying a car at half of what it sold for three years ago puts you so far ahead of the game that even a $1500 brake job can be justified. (But since you are going to buy a CPO it won't ... Read More

I beg to disagree, the reason why you have certain perception of the car company is because of the type of cars it produce/produced. Lexus simply never made sport oriented cars (may be until recently with ISF) and for this reason many would never consider purchasing one. For me Lexus does not have anything over BMW.
