The CIC iDrive is on a different release schedule. Unless you have the Business nav then 2009-2 is the latest version. CIC is the Professional iDrive that uses an HDD. Maps are updated via CD or through your dealer. Read More...

Why did BMW stop using the dipstick, maybe I want to check my oil, to see the level. I don't want to wait for that "light" on the dash. Also, get rid of the RFL, or at least make a wheel well in the trunk space for a spare, if I want to get one. I am looking foreward to getting my 2009 / 328i Coupe, in a couple of months. Most recent experience: 2003 X5 3.0 - awesome SUV, handles great regardless of road condition, very powerful but stiff handling, good acceleration at lower and high speeds, the engine roar sounds great. 2005 MDX - drives like a car, very comfortable and smooth, doesn not handle as well as X5, acceleration better at high speeds but fair at lower speeds. 2009 328i ... I just got my second high pressure fuel pump replaced for my 08 335i (sports package, 4dr, manual). Seems to fail roughly every 9000 miles. I was told by my service rep that free warranty has been extended to something like 120,000 miles and 10 years. But I usually put 200k+ miles on my cars within 7 years easy before I sell or junk'em. Don't know much about a lease except you always have a car payment and Dave Ramsey calls them a "Fleece". Kidding aside, my opinion is the dealer's love leases for a reason, $$$$$. If you think about it, you can buy the car at the lowest possible cash price (historic buyers market), finance the thing for next to nothing with no money at closing, and later on if you choose ...
