Exactly my thoughts when I asked the salesman when I picked up the car, since I was offered the extended 2 yr/50K warranty for $2100 as a dealer add-on. His response was that in certifying the car as CPO, they usually replace all the tires and the CPO extra cost is folded into the financing. Yes, you can take the badge and fling it a million miles into the ether. Just drove a late model (I think 2009) BMW 5 series sedan. Quality has slid downhill from years past...this is how to make profits? The leather didn't even fit properly. Finally, was told that if I wanted to within 60 days of the end of the lease, the dealer would take repossession of the car, certify it as BMW CPO, and would offer it back to me at about $3,000 over the purchase option price. The CPO would add 2 yrs and 50,000 miles to the warranty. Do other dealers do this? I'm sure any dealer would love to take back you lease car, CPO it ... Read More...

Start negotiating at 15% off MSRP. It's the model year end and they're tring to move them. Our local dealership ran $5,000 off all remaining 2008 5 series back in the spring. Good luck. Read More...
