Extremely sorry to hear of the problems; I recently bought a 2008 BMW 335i. Here's a list in 5 months: 1)Bad fuel pump (will cost $2000.00 when out of warranty. BMW 330xi intermittently starting

We have a 2004 BMW 330xi with 20,000 miles that is intermittently starting. We turn the key and all the lights go on, but there is no engine ignition or even any sound. Sometimes, if we follow with a quick 2nd turn, the car starts fine. First time in March 2008, had it fully checked at our BMW dealership, only duplicated the episode once and could not find anything obviously ... Read More...

Did you ever figure out what was wrong? We have a 2004 330xi with just 20,000 miles that has been having the same problem. When you turn the key, the lights go on and there is a soft humming sound, but no engine ignition. Sometimes, if you give a 2nd quick turn of the key, the engine starts up fine. Bribor, that sounds OK...from what I have been reading, the best most people have been able to negotiate is about $500 over invoice (roughly $2000 under MSRP when you factor in advertising fees, training costs, etc.). BMW is subsidizing the cost of the automatic transmission to dealers on 08 3 series, so you should not consider that as part of the cost of the vehicle ... Read More...

Here is how my deal came out so far, I think I made out pretty good - thoughts? Please note, that I will be doing a European Delivery (ED) of the car, which results in the substantial savings. hmmm my dealer told me that the auto trans incentive for the 3 series isn't happening anymore for 2009 models.. Also, I actually want the 2009 instead of 2008 because the model changed (kinda). With that said.. i still don't know if it's an okay price... :( but thx for the info blueguy! Read More...

I have a 2008 335xi with 6500 miles, 10 months into 3yr lease. Today, the idle became rough, the engine malfunctioned, diagnostic warning message appeared requiring me to proceed with caution to the nearest dealer.
