Saturn Aura XR vs. BMW 328i

Re: Too Funny [vanman1]

I have driven both and hard[sic] What is your definition of "hard"? the differences aren't all that big What are "the differences"? Transient response? Steady-state cornering? How communicative is the steering in each car? Can you feel the front tires loading up as lateral acceleration increases? How does each car respond to trail braking? Which car is easier ... Re: New 335 Purchase [skeets7]

I just purchased a new 2008 335i from BMW of Orland Park, Illinois, also through their internet sales manager. I had a similar experience as the salesman honored everything that he said on the phone, had the car detailed and ready to go with a full tank of gas. It's the best deal I've ever gotten on a car!! If you want a great price these internet deals are fantastic! ... Read More...

Re: New 335 Purchase [bluetacktwo]

Hey bluetacktwo, thanks for the heads up on a great deal. I spoke with the young man in internet sales at BMW Encinitas and told him about the "townhall" deal that you got. I asked for the same deal, and told him that I would be willing to drive two hours. I just asked that he email me the same deal on a car I scoped out on their website, so that there were no hitches. He emailed ... Read More...

Re: 2009 328xi [roadburner]

If you buy a CPO 2008 you will save at least $10,000-$15,000 AND you will have a better warranty. And you could have a 335i instead of a 328i... roadburner - what do you mean when you say the warranty is better for a CPO vs. a new 2009? Are you referring to the additional 2 yrs of warranty on all CPOs, or something else? Just curious. I am in the market to buy a new 2009 328i ... Read More...

Pontiac G8 vs BMW 3-Series vs Lexus IS 350

Re: Thoughts from a 3-series driver [steveinvt]

I am hesitant to buy a BMW because service costs out of warranty can be insane. The two main groups that perpetuate the "BMWs cost a bazillion dollars to fix" myth are: 1. Shady BMW dealers who are trying to scare customers into a new or CPO car. 2. Envious fools with a "sour grapes" mentality. Speaking of fools, on one of the Mazdaspeed boards(where opposable thumbs ... Read More...
