BMW 3-Series Run Flat Tires

Re: Run Flat / Fix a flat [mimi7183]

My wife owns a 2008 3 series that I can't stand to ride in. To have a nice ride you need to replace these POS tires every 8 thousand miles. That is way too expensive for a daily driver. We are in the market for a new car and BMW will not be on the list of possible trades. Matter of fact, no car with run flats or staggered tires will be on our shopping list. Shame on BMW for serving ... Read More...

9,000 miles on my RFTs

Called the dealership in KC and they blew me off. They had the audacity to say that they have not had any complaints. I have a 2008 335xi with the sport package. I agree with all the posters who say that this is their last BMW and their last RFTs. I called the Customer Relations group in NJ and do not have much hope because they did make the comment that they do not have a ... Read More...

2008 328xi Loaner

I'm close to buying a 2008 328 xi, CPO with 12.5k miles at $29k. Dark burl walnut trim, walnut seats, automatic but no other fancy options. The car used to be a BMW loaner vehicle. Does anyone have any suggestions on pricing or loaner vehicles in general- do they tend to be in significantly worse conditions than say a leased CPO? Thanks! Read More...

Buying a Used 3-Series

BMW 3-series buying advice needed

Newbie here, starting to take a look at a pre-owned (or CPO) 3-series of model years 2006-2008. Budget is around 23K for the car, excluding taxes and others. Seeing a lot of 2006/330i CPO model in dealer lots that has around 40K miles. There is extended warranty of 60 yr/100K mile on these cars. Initial dealer quotes are around 27K (did not start to negotiate till ... Read More...

Possible problem with voice interface

I have a 2008 BMW 328 sedan with BMW Assist, and sometimes the voice command unit does not recognize not only the names but the plain words like "yes" or "no". Does anyone else have had such a problem, and if so, what is the suggested action that I should take. I know that I will have to go to the service, but they usually cannot see the problem, and this problem will likely ... Read More...

Re: Too Funny [sjaieve]

"The reason the 3 Series is on C/Ds best list is because of the 335, not the 328i." Uhh.... wrong! Check out the January 2008 issue where C/D compared 4 sport sedans that cost around $38k: MB C300 Sport, Cadillac CTS DI, Infiniti G35 Sport and the BMW 328i. The 328i blew the other 3 out of the water and got a perfect 25 points in the "fun to drive" category and a very high ... Read More...
