Buying a Used 3-Series

Re: Advice on buying 2005 BMW 325i [starbuxx]

Definitely have it inspected like others have suggested here. CARFAX does NOT....repeat....does NOT....show all accidents, even major ones. This car could be fine, a great deal, or it could have been smacked up 5 times. Other than prior collision damage, there's really not too much that could be wrong at this low mileage, but you should look for signs of abuse, ... Read More...

Re: Advice on buying 2005 BMW 325i [starbuxx]

I would definitely have the car inspected - mostly to ensure it hasn't been involved in an accident. It sounds like a nice car at a somewhat too good to be true price. If the car is sound, it's a heck of a deal, but the price is cause for some caution. Good luck! Read More...

Advice on buying 2005 BMW 325i

I'm in the market for a previously owned BMW. I like the 2005 325i and have found alot on Craigslist. The one I am interested in has 25,000 miles and has all the features and color that I want. The price is $20,500. The seller is an independent car dealer who gets his cars from BMW finance dept. He is going to fax me the carfax report and there will be one year left on the ... Read More...

BMW 335i vs Infiniti G37

Re: 335i vs G37 [habitat1]

BTW, I looked up 2004 resale values, and the TL was below both the 3 series and G35 Sedan I see the TL there. Not Infiniti. What's your source? Or maybe you need your eyes checked? The link you provided was for Model Year 2006 on ALG, not 2004 (your model) like I listed. Maybe YOU should have your eyes checked. For 2004 models, here's one of several links: http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/list/top10/102467/article.html ... Read More...

BTW, I looked up 2004 resale values, and the TL was below both the 3 series and G35 Sedan Top Resale Values I see the TL there. Not Infiniti. What's your source? Or maybe you need your eyes checked? As for Edmunds being the definitive source. No disrespect to our fine hosts here, but when I bought a 2002 Honda S2000 in November 2001, the Edmunds "True Market Value" was ... Read More...

I dont mind the 12K difference and i know BMW has 4 year free maintainese plan which sounds good. I am just worried ... Read More...

Re: BMW 2004 328 4DR Seden Maintainese Cost [windforceus]

I want to know BMW 2004 328 4DR Sedan, 60000 miles Maintainese Cost If i bring the car to BMW dealer or Private body shop. First off, if you haven't purchased the car yet, I would strongly advise you to have it inspected by a qualified BMW tech. Not much goes wrong on the newer 3 Series, but you still want to buy a good one. Now for your questions regarding costs. In most ... Read More...

BMW 335i 2007+

Re: Wow... [circlew]

I intend to give it back in outstanding shape so the next owner can enjoy it for many, many miles. That is as satisfying to me as getting into the next experience. I have a reputation for being obsessive about proper vehicle maintenance, and it has paid off. In late 2005 I was looking to sell my my wife's 130K 1997 528iA. Carmax offered $5000. I wound up selling the car ... Read More...

If you were the owner of an Audi A4, please provide me with your experience vs the BMW. Re: Where is the Lexus IS 350? [scottm123]

I got the E90 330 in December 2005 exactly as ordered. It was in-transit on the day I ordered it. The dealer experience is the best I've encountered. Makes you want a repeat performance more than I could ever believe was possible from ANY dealer. The Audi dealer up the road proved a notably less satisfying experience during the shopping phase as was my local BMW dealer, ... Read More...
