Now im just down to either a 2006 bmw 330i (the xi is like 4000 more when you are buying used) or a 2005 audi s4. i think the bmw drives better, and gets better gas milage, but the audi is faster, is awd, and is a LITTLE cheaper / easier to find the way i want. The new i-drive on the 3 series looks a lot like the mmi, anyone tried it? It will be driven only about 7-8k a year, but I might want to keep it in the family for 10 years or so. The $1000 sports package. Does it change the suspension? Doesn't say anything on the BMW website, it just says sport steering wheel and sport seats when building the car online. If it does include a "sport" suspension, is it rough? Is it worth it? I would have it with the 17 in wheels and all season tires. I have a 2005 x3 with the sport suspension and I am a bit tired ... I have 4500 miles on my 2008 335xi coupe, with the Conti RFT tires...i keep 28psi in front & 30 in rear for a smoother ride...so far, so good, albeit as we all know, you feel the bumps, but at 75mph on a free-way, its smoother than my 2005 545... i have noticed a bit of air leakage, perhaps 1-2 pounds over a couple of week period...the BMW shop forman says its not unusual, ...
