2005 325ci or 2004 325ci
New to owning BMW. We are deciding between a the 2005 with 30K miles or the 2004 with 17K miles. Looked at CR and 2005 has better reliability ratings? Need feedback from owners! Would you buy extended warranty? Thank You! Read More...
2005 330i looking into getting extended warranty
Hi everyone! I have a 2005 330i with a performance pkg and 40K miles on it. I have not had any major problems with the car and would like to keep it for at least another 2-3 yrs. My warranty expires this May and I've been looking into getting an extended warranty. BMW extended warranty for 2 yrs is ~ 2600 and for 4 is ~3500, can anyone comment on were to get a better deal?, ... Read More...
Pontiac G8 vs BMW 3-Series vs Lexus IS 350
no title
I traded a 2005 330i sport premium with 18k miles for a 2009 G8 GT sport premium and have no regrets. The BMW was more refined, handled slightly better, gave better gas mileage, and had more luxury features, but the G8 GT is just way more fun. A Rotofab cold air intake and Magnaflow street cat-back exhaust system restored the muscle car sound. Read More...

Maintenance warranty & Mechanical breakdown warranty
I have a 2005 325ci with 46,000 miles. My warranty period ends at 50,000 or in May of 2009. I absolutely love my car and plan on keeping for at least another 2-3 years. I am wondering if I should buy warranties for either a maintenance or a mechanical breakdown or both. I am the second owner and have owned the car for 2 years with no problems except for a coolant lea which ... Read More...
Re: [sekitori]
Well sekitori, I'll splain it to you. It's a known fact that the 2006 E90 suspension was softened for the sole reason of the stiff-walled RFtires. This is the opposite of what most manufacturers do. They usually do the suspension right THEN pick the tires. If you look at the 3 forum on tires there are over 2600 bitching posts on those tires, especially with the sport ... Read More...

Re: IS250 vs BMW 330 [camina]
I have a 2005 TSX for my wife and just bought myself 2009 335 Coupe. I think those 3 cars will get fairly similar gas mileage. If you plan on driving the car for more than a decade than Lexus or Acura might be cheaper to maintain than the BMW. The Acura is a bit wimpy and I kicked myself for not waiting for the Lexus IS250 before buying that, but mostly because i think the ... Read More...

Re: 528i vs 335i/ 08 [JH2009]
I agree with roadburner - it's really based on your needs. If you like the 5 and need that extra room - then go for that. If you like the 3 and the room is enough than go with that! I also agree that BMWs look 100x times better with the sports package (specifically larger rims and low-profile tires - I guess all cars look better this way). And I think when BMW designs these ... Re: used 325xi deal? [jdickson]
assuming it checks out would it be a good deal or something to stay away from due to the mileage? First off, if you haven't purchased the car yet, I would strongly advise you to have it inspected by a qualified BMW tech. Not much goes wrong on the newer 3 Series, but you still want to buy a good one. The mileage wouldn't worry me one bit- assuming that the car has been maintained ... Read More...

Re: price of 2008 328i CPO & 2008 335i CPO [peper2008]
Peper, the 2008 328i costed that much new! Therefore, they should have a selling price to be a couple of thousand$ less! I do not know exactly what the price was, but I have leased 2008 328i with metallic paint and BMW Assist, MSRP of $34,400, which cap value, i.e., selling price, came to be $32,400. Note that this was in May 2005, while the prices were still w/o much ... Read More...
