Re: Try getting a nail in your RFT after only 500 miles [Mr_Shiftright]
While you can repair an RFT you have to find someone other than the dealer, because they won't repair the RFT. Plus, some tire shops won't repair a RFT. Since there have been so many complaints with RFTs, I suspect that BMW is aware of the issue and could have addressed it, prior to placing them on the 328. In fact, Toyota consumers faced the same problem regarding ... Read More...

Hmmm
I do like the CTS, I will certainly consider one in early 2008, assuming they (GM) offer discounts and subvented leases as they have done time and again. At the MSRP "as I would configure" the CTS, it is a fine car but -- other than fit and finish and its styling -- it "seems to be as current as many of the other guys were putting out in the second half of 2004." For a typical ... Read More...

Brake Pad and Rotor Replacement?
I have a 2005 325xi with 25,000 on the clock, no serious heavy driving. At what mileage range can one usually expect the pads/rotors to be replaced? On a BMW would just pads be changed and the rotors be still OK? (I also have a Volvo S60 where rotors are changed at the same time as the pads). Thanks. Read More...
Re: Enough talk about unreliable VW's (audi) [6sptl]
Acura may have one of the most technologically advanced AWD systems on paper. But the "super handling" RL isn't anywhere near super-handling in my book. It is a grossly overweight car that has a below average suspension and steering compared to a 5-series. And this is from someone who has a 2004 TL 6-speed and 2005 MDX in their garage, not a BMW loyalist. If the next ... Read More...

Re: How often should I change oil in my car? I have a 325xi 2004 model. [jodan]
There are lots of different opinions on this issue. I change the oil every 7500 miles using a BMW Longlife 01 approved oil. Some commonly available oils that meet this standard are Castrol Syntec 0W-30, Mobil 1 0W-40, Valvoline 5W-40, and BMW's own synthetic 5W-30 house brand(which is a Castrol product, but NOT the same as Syntec 0W-30). I use Mobil 1 because I ... Read More...
Re: Saturn Aura XR vs. BMW 328i [oceana143]
Just traded my 2007 Aura XR in on a 2005 330Ci 3 weeks ago and I will never look back! Do yourself a favor and don't make the same mistake that I did - drive both cars first! I bought the Aura w/o driving a BMW - HUGE mistake. I wanted to look at used BMWs, but my husband kept telling me that he wanted me to have something "new" - boy does he regret that one! There really is no ... Read More...
Pad and Rotor Replacement.............
I have a 2005 325xi with 25,000 on the clock, no serious heavy driving. I just inspected my brakes and found a sharp ridge around the outside edge of the rotors. At what mileage range can one usually expect the pads (and rotors) to be replaced? On a BMW would just pads be changed and the rotors be still OK? (I also have a Volvo S60 where rotors have been changed at the same ... Read More...
