BMW 3-Series Run Flat Tires

Will BMW get rid of RFT's?

I have a 2007 328XI with Conti RFTs. I complained of noisy rough ride and at about 3K miles, the dealer changed the Bridgestones to Contis at no charge. Although better, the Contis are still noisy and ride rough. I had a BMW 3 series 2001 and 2004 with regular tires (not RFTs). Much more enjoyable ride and not noisy. Are RFTs here forever? BMW 3-Series Tires and Wheels

Re: are snow tires enough at Indianapolis? [philchen]

I live in Toronto so let me take a stab at your questions: 1. You can get 4 tires and install them on your current rims, however, if you plan on keeping your car and being in Indianapolis for some time, it is recommended you get 4 rims. 2. Cannot comment as I have never purchased via Tirerack but some of my friends who have give it a thumbs up experience. 3. The Blizzak WS-60 ... Read More...

are snow tires enough at Indianapolis?

Hi dear all, I will move to Indianapolis from LA this Dec. I might drive my 2004 325Ci to there. Because this is a RWD, I am thinking to replace winter tires. I hereby have some questions (sorry I never used winter tires/wheels, so I have too many questions): 1. Can I just buy 4 winter tires? or is it better to buy new winter tires/rims combo because it will be more convenient ... Read More...

BMW 335i vs Infiniti G37

Re: 335 vs G37 [sjaieve]

I'm not a fan of AWD, but I have read that Audi has closed the gap with BMW, so maybe I should drive it. I've only driven one Audi before - a 2004 A4 1.8T. I was not impressed. Read More...

AWD vrs Snow Tires

Conflicted again! I had been assuming I should just get AWD for North East winters in NJ. I had read about snow tires and I am convinced they will make a difference on RWD cars like the BMW 328 I am interested in buying. What I am not convinced on yet: - How big a difference? I owned a 2004 G35 coupe, auto, RWD and stock tires and it was horrible in the snow. I'm guessing that's ... Read More...

BMW 3-Series Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Re: Advice on BMW Select Please [samuel17]

Firstly, the MSRP you listed for the 328xi is high--should be closer to $38,400 bog standard without any fees, metallic paint, anything. Secondly, I'm not sure I follow your reasoning in regards to trading in the car in 5 years time. There is no way that driving 60K miles in 12 months is the equivalent of a 5 year old car with same mileage. Why? Because the car is five ... Read More...

2004 BMW 325i

Need some help with this one people... The dealer won't go any lower than $12,500 on this '04 325i with 77K. It has premium package, heated seats and all that...don't know prices or resale values well.. Deal or NO Deal... (just got rid of my new 5 series cause it was too expensive and my dash lit up like a Christmas tree every week for something new to supposedly fix. ... Read More...

BMW 530i vs. BMW 330i

Re: BMW 530i vs, BMW 330i [fdg07]

Both cars are pretty reliable, but I'd give the edge to the 3er. For $18K you can possibly find a 2004 330i ZHP, which is the most fun you can have in a 3er short of an M3. Read More...

Re: 2004 Audi A4 vs. the other AWD's ..... [penguinhead]

We recently went looking to replace our 03 A4 1.8T quattro. All the cars we looked at would be good choices, depending on your priorities. MB C300 4matic- really liked the looks, smallish trunk, definitely a contender. BMW 328xi- excellent handling, not sure we like the runflat tires, small trunk. G35x- handles like a big car, big HP means less mpg, many nice features. ... Read More...
