Re: 2009 328ci SULEV Fuel Pump [teebone1958]

Hi TeeBone1958, I like your info: "Beginning with 2003, 325i Sedan, Coupe, Sport Wagon Automatic for sale in California, Mass, New York, and Vermont are fitted with an updated motor identified as PZEV (Partial Zero Evaporative Emissions) M56 B25" I know I've got 2003 325i which is SULEV and how can I prove to BMW dealer that this is also PZEV? I need this prove for ... Read More...

Re: BMW VS Everyone else [romboggie]

Most recent experience: 2003 X5 3.0 - awesome SUV, handles great regardless of road condition, very powerful but stiff handling, good acceleration at lower and high speeds, the engine roar sounds great. 2005 MDX - drives like a car, very comfortable and smooth, doesn not handle as well as X5, acceleration better at high speeds but fair at lower speeds. 2009 328i ... BMW 3-Series Run Flat Tires

Re: Run Flat / Fix a flat [texhorn]

Thanks to everyone for great insight on the run flat tires. I have a 2003 325xi which I absolutely love. Recently I decide to trade it in for a new 09, I even put a deposit down to hold a car do to come in in a week, until I read these posts. Needless to say, I called the dealership today to cancel my order (they were not very happy). I really want another BMW but definitely ... Read More...

Entry Level Luxury Performance Sedans

Re: Need advice. [dash5]

Someone I know told me last week she picked up a 2006 Acura TL with only 12k miles on it for $22k. Nice deal and nice car. I had a 2003 CLS and now have a 2007 TLS. My TL has an iPod input jack in the center console, not sure if an older model would. Both my TL and CL were fine in light to moderate snow as opposed to the 2 BMW 328Ci's I had. They needed separate winter tires to get ... Read More...

Help - BMW 328ix or Audi A4 2.0 2009

I had a 2003 Audi 1.8T which I loved. Recently hit by a drunk driver and my car was totaled. May end up buying newer version of the same thing I had, but of course part of me thinks I should try something new. Considering the BMW 328ix. Test drove both and like them. I thought the BMW felt a little smaller in the driver's seat - does this seem accurate? I live in snowy climate ... Read More...

BMW 3-Series - What to do when the CPO period ends?

Percentage of Problems

I just got a 2003 325i, with 69,000 miles on it, for $12500 out the door. It looks great and runs fine, to me. I took it to an indy BMW guy, who checked it out and told me I got a good one. I figured for the price, I could spring for the maintenance, but as I read people's laundry lists of problems, I find myself wondering if it's worth it. Do most people have these fuel pump, ... Re: End of lease - 2003 330i - What to offer the lease company [thriftytoolguy]

Not much chance of negotiating a residual price. I'd say nil but no harm in asking. Occasional instances of them relenting are reported but I've never personally seen it happen. Maybe on a car with a bad resale value but a BMW....don't think so. BMW Financial would much prefer to sell your car at auction I think. Read More...

BMW 3-Series - AWD or RWD?

Re: BMW 335i VS BMW 335xi [shipo]

Hi Shipo, I have been following your posts with interest over the last several years and very much respect your knowledge / experience. I live in Central Illinois, 2 hours drive south of Chicago, where there can be a fairly strong winter, depending on the year. My first BMW was a 2004 330i non-sport steptronic that I bought in 2003. In 2006, I bought a 2007 530xi steptronic, ... Read More...

BMW 3-Series Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Re: Tucson BMW [willie2l]

I lived in Tucson 2003 through 2006 and owned an 04 330 convertible. I bought the car in Phoenix because the price was much better and did most of my service there as well. The Tucson dealer also sold Cadillac, Saab, and Pontiac. Getting a loaner car was painful and it was usually an old Grand Am. The Mercedes dealer was even worse. As an aside, if she's interested in ... Read More...

BMW 3-Series Maintenance and Repair

Re: 2001 oil pan problem [roadburner]

You truly are a blessed man and must pray alot, because I have owned 2- 740i's, 1-330i and 1-330ci and all have been 2001 except for the 2003 330i. All have required alot more than routine maintenance, and the 740i's especially have problems with radiators, pressure hoses, and oil leaks. That's not counting the lousy coffee cup holders, and front grills that loosen ... Read More...
