Re: No Reverse - Trade In [dede43]
Your best bet is to have the transmission replaced and either keep the car or trade it in then. The good news here is that aftermarket rebuilt units are now becoming available at a relatively reasonable cost (the link below shows an automatic unit for a 2000 323i for $2,220). http://market.autopartsfair.com/bmw-transmissions/find_product.html?make=bmw&mod- ... No Reverse - Trade In
I've read all the posted messages regarding 2000 BMW reverse failure. It happened to me last week. Was in the market to purchase a Mini Cooper now the is worthless. Do you have any information on this problem being recalled or any suggestion on what I should do? Read More...

Re: BMW Gadgetry [jmaroun]
BMW's auto windshield wiper is neat, but should you turn it on in normal mode (non auto sensing), it's a non trivial experience turning the darn thing off. You might find it a non-trivial experience, I didn't. A quick flick of the stalk does it. After 3 years with BMW's fancy turn signal invention (started in 06 models), I still fall victim to an induced back and forth ... Read More...
BMW Gadgetry
BMW's auto windshield wiper is neat, but should you turn it on in normal mode (non auto sensing), it's a non trivial experience turning the darn thing off. I find BMW's refrigerated compartment under the arm rest some what quirky. Such a small volume is nearly useless. They should either increase usable volume ( I guess make it deeper) or eliminate the thing alltogether. ... Read More...

I am not sure about 2000 and later cars, however, the "Free Maintenance" program for my former 1999 328i did NOT include brakes. I have heard that BMW enhanced the program in either 2000 or 2001, however, I am unsure about whether the brakes are covered under the newer program. Best Regards, Shipo Read More...

I know BMWs
have a good resale value, but c'mon. I was driving by a Mitsubishi dealer today and saw a Boston Green/Sand Leather 2000 E46 328iA. The car had the Premium Package, Sports Package, & Automatic. No Xenons. 39K miles. The sticker said they were asking $18,9K for a (almost) 9 year old car! They must have picked the car up at an auction for what 6 or 7 K? Read More...
325ci 2006
We agree to our 1st BMW-have wanted 1 for a long time. It's a 3rd car for when my wife doesn't need to drive her all-wheel drive Sienna minivan and I'm not using my Accord for work (outside sales). Anyway I think we did well to find a 2006 325ci Black with 10,500 miles for $23,500 CPO Only 2 options are heated seats and Steptronic Automatic The search really evolved..........we ... Read More...
BMW 3-Series Prices Paid and Buying Experience
Re: Drat!!! [blueguydotcom]
Believe me, I have been pacing back and forth thinking about it. Paying around $10k less for a loaded 2007 335i sedan with 14k miles as a CPO over new, sounds great. Of course, some of that advantage would be lost in financing. New 335i's are going for 0.9% interest. I figure as a CPO, the 2007 335i would be at least 3.9% through BMWFS. Around $2000 more in interest over ... Read More...
