Go Drive one. This car blows away any sedan you have been in. The Audi's are no comparison, the 5-series are for old folks.
Favorite Features
The ride.
Suggested Improvements
Slow it down a little.

This is my second BMW, I previously owned a 323i. This is the best 3- series for the money. Although the 330 IS faster and has more torque, I couldn't see paying the additional 5K. The plus side, 328 steering feels better than 330 steering. I've only had the car in the shop once to get some new rotors and brakes. The OEM rotors were squealing everytime I stopped. Did that service at 36K miles at a cost of $800.
Favorite Features
Steering wheel controls. Rain sensing wipers. Xenons. Auto-dimming mirror. Harman Kardon Stereo with Sub-woofer. Memory seats.
Suggested Improvements
More torque please!

BMW 323i Sports Premium - too much power. Too easy to accelerate and pass. Please, slow down when driving this car. 31/24 MPG average for me. Kids under 6 Feet tall? - then back seat is not cramped. With 4 doors - lower insurance & easier entry than 2 door. Optional fold down seats for cargo mode. I don't ski, but bag thingy great for copper pipes & 2x4s.
Favorite Features
Engineers had too much free time. The Interior cabin is bathe in a cool red glow. Wipers slow down when car is stopped. All windows and sun roof have auto hold open/close. Open/close windows with the key outside.
Suggested Improvements
Gas Station kids have trouble figuring out how to open the cover. Aerodynamics - open just one rear window at highway speeds and ouch my ears. Turn off the engine - lights should turn off like Subaru.

Fun to drive, fun to drive, fun to drive. After adding on 18" M3 style rims with Michelin Pilot Sports, it became even more fun to drive. Since I purchased it CPO, everything is covered until 100K miles which should be fine based on my driving.
Favorite Features
The handling and reliability. Also, the CPO program is awesome!
Suggested Improvements
Not enough HP as compared to the 330 but better gas mileage. That's my only real complaint.

Review
Bought this car with 14K miles on it and having put almost 40K miles on it 2 years, I can say this is one of the best cars I've ever owned. I love the looks, handling and comfort. It's not a rocket, but it's still quick and great for passing and navigating through freeway traffic. I'm now spoiled. Will drive this one until it's time to get another.
Favorite Features
Seats, Xenon lights
Suggested Improvements
Split rear seats on all sedans. In dash CD.

The BMW motto in America is "the ultimate driving machine", in Europe - "the pleasure of motoring". Both quite accurately describe this particular car. I don't know any other car in this category that would compare to a BMW Coupe.
Favorite Features
Exterior/interior design, performance, reliability

Great car

2000 BMW 3 Series 2 Dr 323Ci Coupe
Review
I bought this car new when first released in 1999 and the only problem I've had is with the sunroof shade. I've had the panel and tracks replaced twice. The car is mechancially sound, rides great even without the sport pkg. Harmon Kardon stereo system is great although after a near accident, the CD player skips on bumpy roads. Exceptional gas mileage. Comfortable and fun to drive.
Favorite Features
Wood trim, on board computer, auto dimming mirror.
Suggested Improvements
Reduce brake dust. Automatic climate control needs improvement.
bought a used one and very happy

after test driving about 7 makers, i was blown away by the BMW sports package ride in this wagon. I bought it certified used and the warrenty coupled with present low apr made it a great deal. My honda seems like it was a tin can in comparison.

90,000 Mile Review

Review
After 90,000 miles in under 3 years, I'm as satisfied with this car as I was on the first day. It had some relatively minor problems while under warranty - window motors, thermostat re- call, etc. But I can honestly say that other than the tires, I've put less than $300 into this car. That will change shortly as I'm about ready to replace the brake rotors, but really not an expensive car to drive and maintain. I have a 100 mile R/T commute, and I'm really impressed with the comfort, handling and feel. We also have a 2002 530, and I actually prefer to drvie the 3.
Favorite Features
Sport Package (Best valued option that BMW offers).
