Hi guys, I'm a brand new BMW buyer and looking to purchase within the month. I've done a lot of researching in terms of the car that fits my need and a good price range. Right now, I am looking at the 2013 MY BMW 320i or 320ix. There is one car at a dealer near me that has a 320ix with heated seat and lighting pkg for 37,000 (MSRP). I ... Read More
this is not a good deal for a 2013 model. With a $2000 incentive on the 2013 3 series, you should be looking at the least invoice, minus the $2000 incentive, which would be about 37k roughly. There is also an unknown incentive to the dealers out there from BMW. I would imagine it is at least 1k. I recommend you figure out the invoice and make an offer from that ... Read More
Looks to me like with the current discounts, I should be able to get a 2013 328xi with sport line, navigation, cold weather and premium package (msrp is about 49k) for around 380/month for a 36 month lease with nothing down. That assumes a .00125mf and 58% residual and 7% tax rolled into the payment and selling price of under 43k. Can anyone confirm my math and whether you think this ... Read More
As far as technology advancement is concerned, I still don't understand why my $2100 NAV option on my 2013 BMW 328 doesn't speak out the name of the streets (text-to-speech) while my 5 years old $200 Garmin has been doing it for 5 years. Worse, it looks like BMW realized the driver's need to know exactly when to turn so engineers have thought of placing a bar on the monitor that ... Read More
Hi guys, I just read the news that all 2013 BMW3 series are being recalled due the the break problem. I spoke to dealer today and he seemed to be unaware of this recall. The news says the dealers are not allowed to sell the vehicles that need fixing.. how do i find out if he is selling the car with break problem????
I think that waiting the dealer out, is an excellent solution. If the car is still there in a month, then you can tell him, seems like it isn't in so much demand after all....but try not to smirk.... I have to tell you after having manual transmission most of my life.... I don't miss shifting at all in my 328i. The 8 spd auto is very efficient and in sport ... Read More
The dealer says he has one of the few 2013 335i convert. with a manual trans left in the country. So this car is "rare, and in demand". I emphasized that this is a 2013 leftover. Hi guys, I know nothing about car buying and I would love to get some help from experienced buyers. I was offered 2013 BMW 320xi with gray color, moon roof, power front seats, heated seats, walnut wood trim, and navigation system for $36500 (MSRP $41220, Invoice ~$38500). Is this a good deal? Or should I try to get more deal out of it? Thank you guys!!
I spend a fair amount of time on a couple of BMW-specific forums, but this is the fire case I've seen anything like your issue. I'm thinking you may have a dealer issue moreso than a BMW issue. I don't think BMW did anything radically different in the taillight lens dept. on the F30 than the E90 model.
Build the car and find its invoice on bmwconfig.com. From the invoice you can determine the deal. In the bay area check out Weatherford BMW in Berkley, they sometimes have fantastic deals.
Since you are in SF bay area, I would contact Jon at Santa Barbara BMW, he is a founder of another BMW forum and he could hook you up with a great deal. I would also consider contacting Greg at Pacific BMW or Justin at New Century BMW, they are all forum sponsors of the other BMW forum. You can do all this via email. There are great deals to be ... This is a terrible deal!!! You should be able to get a new 2013 328i for at least $1000 under invoice with the current incentives that are out there. I would think that a "fair price" for a used car would be about 31K. The warranty has already started on this vehicle, whenever the vehicle was "punched" by the dealer. If you go to www.BMWconfig.com you can see what invoice is for the car, also if you have a Costco card, you can go to www.costco.com and under the "service" banner you can see what the costco price would be for your car, also there is 2K built Credit on all 2013 3 series until the end of this month. this credit comes off MSRP.
You should be able to get a new one for the same price. Look around at other dealers in your area. There are credits available, just check the BMW web site.
Hi. I am interested in 2013 328 I demo car with 2000 miles. No extra packages , just heated front seats and moonroof. Sticker was 39,500. They are asking 36,900. Can anyone help me find fair price to ask for ? Also are there any additional discounts available ? I do not currently own bmw. Thanks !
They are building 2014 models so any ED would have to be the 2014 model. The ED invoice is lower so it may pay to get a 2014 if you want to pick it up. Yes, I agree most 2013 are going BELOW invoice. If you are not below invoice, go for the 2014 and you can probably get same for 500 over invoice (and some new goodies with the nav). Also heard great things about the above dealer on bimmerfest.
Terrible deal!! 2013 are going below invoice, plus the $2000 build out incentive. There is a CA in Atlanta, Adrian Avilla, I am not sure which dealer he is at, but is a sponsor on another Bimmer forum. I am sure he could hook you up on a much better deal.
Thanks for your reply. I intimated we are still about 1K apart; he could either apply it to trade value or discount value or combo of both but he is firm. It is http://www.bmwblog.com/2009/07/14/how-to-follow-a-new-bmw-from-order-to-shipping- -and-to-delivery/
ideally leasing should have a better interest rate than financing, with dealer raising mf, acquisition fees, lease insurance, etc., might consider purchase at 2.99% current offers from bmw financial for 37-72 mo. I would also suggest to push for $0 drive off. Good Luck!
In my experience, most BMW dealers will mark-up the money factor... some will negotiate on it, but a lot won't... just my $0.02...
Also BMW has a 2K credit on all 3 series cars.

I also tried to work a deal on a 320XI with alpine white, black leatherette, dark burl walnut trim, premium package, driver assistance package, lighting package, nav with ... Read More
Hello! I'm looking to lease my first BMW and need some advice. Right now I have come down to 2 vehicles and need some help and need to know if I am getting a good deal. Vehicle 1: 328xi glacier silver metallic (550) with black dakota leather, dark burl walnut (500), cold weather package (950), premium package (3100), nav (2150), lighting package (900) for a total of $44,930. One thing I note is that a lot of the cars mentioned are smaller euro-sedans. And while this is fine, if you want a large car, you're looking at a Big Lexus, Acura, Cadillac, Mercedes, Volvo, Audi, or BMW. Others do make similar cars, but they tend to be overpriced or far more sport than luxury. A quick run - down: Acura. Pretty much the TL. It's basically a Japanese Buick ... Read More
The ES has much more backseat legroom than the A4. In a nutshell, BMW compared to Lexus is much more fun to drive than ride in. Vice versa for the Lexus.
Between my wife and I we've owned/leased each of these vehicles over the past say ten years and add to this an Audi A4 and Lexus RX. I'd like to share my opinion on what you have posted, but do encourage you to drive everything you're interested in. Car buying...test driving is fun and vehicles are expensive, so enjoy picking out what you like. Many of the important items you'll get ... Read More
roomy (would like the back seat as wide as possible for 3 to fit comfortable. Have two car seat and still have the middle person have enough room). I think you are looking in the wrong class (size wise) of cars. Any of these will fit 2 car seats in the back, but fit a 3rd person comfortably in the back with the 2 car seats? I don't think so. Are ... Read More
For work I travel, and rent a lot of cars. Lately I have been renting many Buick LaCrosse's I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with them. They are comfortable, roomy, good power and get decent MPG. The price difference between a Top of the line LaCrosse and ES is about 10K, which is a lot of money. As graphic has pointed out, you are sold on the Lexi, why waste ... Read More
Yes, the Lexus is a little smoother and bigger inside as it's now based on the Avalon and not the Camry as someone else mentioned. In fact, if you're not totally immune to a Toyota versus Lexus you might take a look at the Avalon. From what I saw at the auto show and from what I've read about it, it seems to have an almost luxury class interior and the ... Read More
Thanks m6user. I did try out the Acura TL also. It did not feel as smooth as lexus and also felt a little small from inside (compared to lexus). The controls on lexus were much better also. I guess, these are the personal things one notices after the test drive. Overall, I like Acura TL also. I live in norcal with no weather/snow issues.
I think you should look at the Acura TL. It's front wheel drive like the Lexus, gets excellent MPG, rated very high reliability and low maint especially if you plan on keeping it a long time(which you indicated). The German cars will no doubt cost you more time and money after you get out of warranty time and miles. If you have to deal with snow the Lexus and TL being ... Read More
