2004 BMW 3 Series Sedan 330i Rwd 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 6M)

Review

I've owned this car for three years now, and there is nothing out there that can match the awesome driving experience of the 330i with Performance Package. The handling is perfect, virtually no understeer and great rotation through the corners. Clutch, shifter, and brakes are the best in class. Interior is laid out perfectly; no frills, and very driver oriented... even better than the redesigned 3 Series. Have had no problems with the car except occasional oil consumption. Quality is outstanding, dealership experience is first-class, and this thing is built like a tank!

Best Features

Classic sporty BMW exterior styling. Driver oriented interior. Clutch, shifter, and brakes are the best! Outstanding performance and handling built into the utility of a four door sedan. Highly exclusive (not many around). Comped service for four years. Tank-like build quality.

Worst Features

Seats need a little more bolstering, alcantra suede is prone to wear, orange backlighting can be hard to decipher at dawn and dusk. Watch your speed!

2004 BMW 3 Series Sedan 330i Rwd 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 6M)

Review

BMW Certified with 26k miles. Driving to work has never been so fun (even with traffic and a manual transmission)! The sport suspension is a bit stiff but not M3 stiff. Mileage is good (22 in city driving and 31.5 on highway; the 6th gear really does well for road trips). Corners like a go-cart; you point it, it goes there. Stereo system needs to be totally revamped; limited improvement by adjusting controls. Very noticeable tire noise with OEM Continentals (I look forward to changing them). Very clean, classy interior layout. Sport suspension, low profile tires and front facing give a very athletic look. Short throw shifter is a hoot. Small car, so spend some time in it prior to buying.

Best Features

Rain sensing wipers are perfect, auto adjusting radio volume, 3rd gear for passing at highway speeds. Handling of course and 0-60 in the low-mid 6 second range. BMW solid build quality. Titanium metalic silver paint in georgeous in the sun.

Worst Features

Eliminate different sized tires (which spare do you carry?), dump HK stereo!, standard lumbar support, increase storage space, accessible cup holder #2, add fold down rear seats, increase cabin size, MP3 compatible, rear side curtain airbags standard, enlarge side view mirrors.

2004 BMW 3 Series Sedan 325i Rwd 4dr Sedan (2.5L 6cyl 5M)

Review

325xi with steptronic purchased as certified pre-owned with 18500 miles. Car is like new - agile handling, superb steering, fair to good acceleration (best from 25 mph to 75 mph), and solid feel. Interior leather, carpet, etc., all of high quality with no signs of wear. Seats are firm and comfortable. Cold weather package is a great option but fold-down seats or at least a pass-through should be standard feature on this car as trunk space is limited. Jet black paint is nice but optional metallic paint looks better on this model as 325s lack the chrome trim of the 330s models. Driving experience is great whether on highway or twisty back roads. H-K sound upgrade is good but not outstanding.

Best Features

Handling, steering, overall solid feel. Overall design still holds up well since originally introduced in 1999 model year. Cold weather package is great convenience option--heated seats, split fold-down rear seats, ski sack. Steptronic auto transmission is excellent though not as involving as stick

Worst Features

The 2.5 six lacks low-end power of the 3.0 but is fine otherwise. Trunk space and interior storage space generally is limited. Leather seats should be standard with premium package and cloth should be available as alternative to vinyl (leatherette). Trunk lid should open from inside when locked.

2004 BMW 3 Series Sedan 325i Rwd 4dr Sedan (2.5L 6cyl 5M)

Review

This is the second BMW I have owned. The first was a 1999 323i and it was my most favorite car - but I totaled it on the ice. It saved my life, as I slid into ongoing traffic and was hit in the driver door with a van on the interstate. I walked away without a scratch. I finally found the 2004 325i that I have now. It is now my most favorite car. More power, came with arm rest and doesn't hesitate at starts into traffic

Best Features

Love the feel and handle on the road. I get much better gas mileage than advertised. (25 in town and 32 on hwy)

Worst Features

Regular Gas please

2004 BMW 3 Series Sedan 325xi AWD 4dr Sedan (2.5L 6cyl 5M)

Review

I've only had the car for a few weeks but this is easily the best all around car I've ever owned. It's fit/finish and comfort are almost perfect.

Best Features

The manual transmission is the smoothest I've ever driven.

Worst Features

As with all cars, more power (which they added to the 2006) and better mileage, though the 24-25mpg I've been getting, I can definitely live with.
