I have owned this vehicle as second
owner (bought 2 years used with
20,000km). Have only two complaints.
Firstly when engine is hot (riding
around for several hours in summer
heat) car shakes in first gear...
starts smoothly directly from 2nd at a
red light with a little longer cluth
action. Electrical should improve -
lights out often. Funny I still like
should not make 4 cylinders for the
weight of the vehicle.... 6 is a must!
These cars are ticking time bombs.
Watch out!!!! I've owned mine for
less than a year and has cost me $2000
in parts alone with me doing all of
the repairs myself and has been off
the road for 4 months. I checked the
car over with a fine tooth comb before
buying and still have the problems. I
should've boughten a Chevy!!!
With an automatic, stock tires and
rims this Bimmer is the ultimate pig.
My Honda Accord wagon is more fun.
At 90,000 miles it creaks and groans
like a reluctant old door. My girlfriend
does look good in it though!
Not up to my expectations of a BMW,
Body design, color, practical size
Less Germanic severity, smoother,
more powerful 4 cylinder engine. A
little more sumptuous luxury.
I bought the car and for 7,000 and have put about that much if not more into it in the 3 years I have owned it. I don't drive it hard but I have had to basically rebuild the engine. That was fun. The interior has completely fallen apart door panels won't stay on no matter what I do. It's super fun to drive and looks good on the outside but everything inside kinda blows.
Make better door panels and make it not break down after 10 odd years.
