DEARBORN, Michigan — Two customized 2013 Ford Escapes will debut at the 2012 SEMA Show.
The VACCAR-built Urban Escape Adventurer is designed to strike a balance between off-roading and upscale comfort.
The bright green 2013 Ford Escape SE AWD modified by Heide Performance Products is described as a "tasteful street-performance treatment" of the redesigned 2013 Escape.
The HPP Escape gets bold wheels, bulging wheelwell flares and a lowered chassis. The cabin gets leather-and-suede seating.
The front-wheel-drive VACCAR Escape "was designed to visually express the potential of the Ford Escape," said the automaker in a statement.
The custom Escapes are equipped with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Edmunds says: Not difficult to envision either one of these on the street.
