COSTA MESA, California — The 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe R-Spec Track Edition was unveiled on Monday ahead of its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show.

The special model churns out 395 horsepower and is the product of a collaboration between the Korean automaker and ARK Performance. It is equipped with a modified version of the R-Spec's 3.8-liter GDI V6 engine.

Exterior cues include racelike flared over-fenders, an aggressive front splitter and carbon-fiber hood with heat-extractor vents.

"The ARK Genesis Coupe goes far beyond exterior cosmetics, with significant under-hood performance modifications, a racelike interior environment, racing differential, tires, brakes and suspension," said Hyundai Motor America in a statement.

The SEMA model gets an ARK performance intake system and performance oil cooler, a six-piston Big Brake kit, along with Cusco suspension bars, arms and control rods.

The cabin gets a JPM Coachworks custom interior with a Sparco steering wheel and Sparco Pro ADV racing seats in red.

Edmunds says: After spending considerable time and effort promoting its Veloster coupe, Hyundai is putting its high-powered Genesis back in the spotlight at this year's SEMA show
