Just the Facts:- The wraps have come off the 2013 Volvo V40 R-Design ahead of its debut at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.
- The package spices up the Volvo V40 with such details as a rear diffuser, twin exhaust tailpipes and five-spoke diamond-cut 17-inch wheels.
- The 2013 Volvo V40, the five-door hatchback sibling to the Volvo C30, is not sold in North America.
PARIS — The wraps have come off the 2013 Volvo V40 R-Design ahead of its debut at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.
The package spices up the Volvo V40 with such details as a rear diffuser, twin exhaust tailpipes and five-spoke diamond-cut 17-inch wheels. The cabin gets embossed R-Design leather/T-Tec upholstery, a sports steering wheel, sports pedals and aluminum trim. Buyers can also get an optional sport chassis that lowers the car and provides a firmer ride.
Pricing will be announced in early October. The car will arrive in showrooms in January.
An uplevel R-Design Lux package adds embossed full leather-faced upholstery, adaptive xenon headlights with headlight cleaning system, cruise control, keyless start and rear theater lighting.

Edmunds says: The 2013 Volvo V40 gets the R-Design treatment, but U.S. buyers will have to admire it from afar.
