AFFALTERBACH, Germany — The 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake has debuted, but the automaker's U.S. arm confirms that it will not be coming here.

"Currently, there are no plans to bring the CLS Shooting Brake to the United States," said Christian Bokich, a Mercedes-Benz spokesman in response to a query from Inside Line on Monday.

Bokich said neither the regular CLS Shooting Brake nor the high-performance AMG variant of the wagon would be available here. The wagon goes on sale in Europe in October.

The CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake is equipped with a 525-horsepower twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 linked to a seven-speed sports transmission. The lineup is rounded out by a CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake Edition 1 model that adds an additional 32 horsepower.

Top speed on the CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake is electronically limited to 155 mph. A key detail of the stylish wagon is a wooden luggage compartment floor. Options include an AMG exterior carbon-fiber package, a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG high-end surround sound system and special wheels.

Edmunds.com says: Yet another wagon that won't make it to U.S. shores.
