PARIS — The 2013 Chevrolet Trax crossover, which will make its world debut next month at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, will not be sold in the U.S., GM told Edmunds.com on Tuesday.

"We are content with (the) current portfolio of crossovers," wrote Michael T. Albano, a Chevrolet spokesman, in response to an e-mailed query.

The five-passenger Trax is 14 feet long and is set to do battle in Europe with its chief rival, the Skoda Yeti.

Pricing was not announced.

The Trax will be offered with a choice of three engines, including a 1.4-liter gas engine, a 1.6-liter gas engine and a 1.7-liter turbodiesel engine, said Chevrolet in a statement. An optional on-demand all-wheel-drive system is available on cars with the 1.4-liter turbo gas engine or 1.7-liter diesel engine.

Upper trim levels of the Trax will get the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system as standard equipment.

Edmunds.com says: You won't see the new Chevy Trax in your driveway.
