SEOUL, South Korea — Hyundai on Tuesday released the first official photos of its all-new ix20, a small B-segment van that will debut at the 2010 Paris Auto Show, and the face-lifted i10 minicompact. Neither vehicle will be sold in the U.S.
Hyundai said the ix20, which was designed and developed at the Korean automaker's European research and development center in Russelsheim, Germany, will go on sale in November. The automaker said the ix20 is targeted at young families and will offer "class-leading fuel economy and low CO2 emissions [and] the latest in active and passive safety technologies."
In addition to a modest exterior touchup, the i10 gets a new 1.0-liter engine with low CO2 emissions of 99 g/km. The tiny A-segment hatchback goes on sale in Europe in early 2011.
