2013 New York Auto ShowJust the Facts:
- Photos of the 2014 Cadillac CTS were leaked ahead of the car's official debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show.
- The images surfaced on Flickr.
- David Caldwell, a Cadillac spokesman, told Edmunds that that the question of whether the images are official is "a legitimate one, but not one that I care to answer."
Images first surfaced on Flickr and then later on the Web site of USA Today.
The photos show a muscular-looking car with a family resemblance to the 2013 Cadillac ATS. Details include a sculpted hood, dramatic front end and an elegant cabin with wood and leather touches.
The Cadillac CTS goes on sale in the fall. It is designed to better target the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Cadillac showed off a new twin-turbo V6 engine for the CTS last week. It displaces 3.6 liters and is rated to produce 420 horsepower. According to USA Today, that engine will be offered in a new Vsport model.
Edmunds says: This is one of the most important unveilings at the 2013 New York Auto Show.
