LOS ANGELES — A new BMW i concept vehicle will make its world debut on November 28 at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.

BMW offered few details about the new concept, except to say it "will join BMW's growing lineup of visionary concept vehicles which are purpose-built from the ground up as electric and hybrid electric and constructed primarily from lightweight carbon fiber."

The BMW i3 and i8 will come to market in 2013 and 2014, respectively.

Speculation is that the new concept may be a sportier version of the i3.

BMW said it will also show off the updated 2013 BMW 7 Series, the BMW Concept K2 Powder Ride and the BMW i8 roadster concept at the L.A. show.
