ATLANTA — The redesigned 2014 Porsche Cayman will make its world debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, a Porsche spokesman confirmed for Edmunds on Friday.

The new Cayman will be based on the 2013 Porsche Boxster, said Nick Twork, a Porsche Cars North American spokesman in a phone conversation. He described the Cayman as "an all-new car." Porsche stopped production of the Cayman in January; there is no 2013 model.

The Cayman's unveiling will take place on November 28.

"I can confirm we will show the Cayman at Los Angeles," Twork said. "The show also marks the North American debut of the 911 Carrera 4 and all associated models."

Porsche has not announced the U.S. launch date, specifications or pricing on the 2014 Cayman. Porsche has not published an image of the 2014 Cayman.
