The first major domestic show of the auto show season arrives this November with the annual Los Angeles auto show. It opens to the public on November 30, but we'll have an early look at all the new models and concepts during a media preview that starts on November 28.
This year will see an interesting assortment of world debuts that includes everything from sporty hatchbacks to luxury sedans to high-powered European sports cars. One guaranteed show debut that has already been confirmed is the Acura RLX, a completely redesigned version of the current Acura RL that's aiming to grab some attention for the often-overlooked Acura flagship.
Other expected debuts include the convertible version of the Volkswagen Beetle and the fully redesigned Porsche Cayman sports car. Unconfirmed reports also suggest that we could see the high-powered "R" version of the latest Jaguar XF sedan and an ST version of the Ford Fiesta subcompact hatchback. Both cars promise improved performance and more radical styling.
Expect to see a handful of new hybrids, plug-in and electric cars at the L.A. auto show as well. The city's status as the green car capital of the world makes it a natural fit for any manufacturer looking to make a splash with its latest alternative fuel efforts. We'll know for sure come the end of November, so check back here for all the latest news, photos and videos straight from the show floor.
