GENEVA — The Rinspeed microMAX, an electric vehicle designed to take car-sharing to the next level, is set for debut at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show.

The microMAX features a coffee maker, refrigerator and full Internet connectivity.

Rinspeed says the microMAX merges "personal and public transportation."

The four-passenger concept is 9 feet long and 7 feet tall. The car's height allows for tall, upright seats that create a lounge experience for the passengers.

Rinspeed said the design would be the perfect mode of transport for use in a car-sharing service or a short-distance cab company.

"Modern ride share centers nowadays are Web-based or Smartphone-based," said Rinspeed in a statement. "They operate in real time: You need to go to work on a regular basis or want to go somewhere right now and in no time at all you find the driver that'll give you a ride. MicroMAX with its unique upright seats is the perfect thing for swift short-distance transfers — the car to go with the app."

More details about this modern people-mover concept will be available when it debuts at the Geneva auto show in March.
