WINTERLINGEN, Germany — Lumma Design, the German tuning house, has reimagined the 2012 BMW 650i Cabriolet, with an aero body kit, new wheels, engine and suspension upgrades, and a snazzy interior. Lumma's rechristened CLR 600 GT will make its formal debut in early March at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show.
The CLR 600 GT features a new front spoiler with integrated LED daytime running lights, plus side skirts and a rear diffuser shrouding quad stainless-steel tailpipes.
Lumma has lowered the suspension by 0.8 inch, added yellow painted brake calipers and fitted 20-inch GTB-Monoblock alloy rims with Vredestein rubber (255/35R20 in front and 285/30R20 in the rear).
The tuner has remapped the ECU and added a freer-flowing exhaust system to nudge output on the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 to 483 horsepower and torque to 531 pound-feet, which in turn lifts top speed to 160 mph.
The interior upgrade includes hand-crafted leather and Alcantara upholstery, aluminum pedals, sport steering wheel and leather-trimmed velour floor and trunk mats.
