Jeep said in a statement that the Mountain name underscores that the model "is capable of overcoming the most demanding trails and the most challenging driving conditions."
It will be offered with the 200-horsepower 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine, linked to a five-speed automatic transmission or six-speed manual transmissionm or the 284-hp 3.6-liter V6 engine linked to a five-speed automatic.
Exterior features include a front Mineral Gray grille, painted high-gloss Mineral Gray 17-inch wheels and a "Mountain" decal on the hood. Other touches include side steps and a black fuel-filler door from Mopar. The cabin gets cloth seats with Slate Grey stitching and embroidered "Mountain" logo.
