GAYDON, England — The first unofficial photos of the Jaguar XF Sportbrake wagon have surfaced on the Web, ahead of the car's formal unveiling next week at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show.
Britain's Autocar was among several Web sites to post the images and said they appeared to have been scanned from an official brochure.
Jaguar's own teaser shot indicates the Sportbrake is virtually identical to the XF sedan from the B-pillar forward.
In Europe, the production version of the Sportbrake will compete with premium midsize wagons from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, among others.
According to Autocar, most likely power plants for Europe include a 2.2-liter turbodiesel, a pair of 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesels and a 5.0-liter V8 gasoline engine.
