GENEVA — The new Maserati GranTurismo Sport, introduced here at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show, will replace the GranTurismo S in the U.S. as a 2013 model.

The GranTurismo Sport gets restyled headlamps, taillamps and front bumper, and a revised interior with new seats and steering. A new exterior color, Blu Sofisticato, is being offered.

The car is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 rated at 453 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. Europeans will be able to order Maserati's six-speed automatic manual gearbox, but only a ZF six-speed automatic will be available in the States.

Maserati said the car can accelerate from zero to 60 in less than 4.7 seconds, with a top speed of 186 mph.

The GranTurismo features 20-inch alloy wheels, as well as Brembo brakes with six-piston calipers in front and four-pots in the rear. The calipers are painted matte blue.

The cabin has been upgraded with Poltrona Frau leather upholstery, aluminum pedals and EcoChrome gray accents.

Edmunds.com says: More power, modest face-lift.
