WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey — The latest special edition from Mini, to be unveiled early next month at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show, is the Convertible Highgate. Named for one of London's tonier neighborhoods, the Highgate package price is $2,750 on the Mini Cooper and $2,500 on the Mini Cooper S, with limited deliveries starting this spring.

As with several previous Mini special editions, the Highgate package is largely a cosmetic one. It comes with a choice of exterior colors, including a new Iced Chocolate Metallic, as well as a brown fabric soft top, brown/black hood stripes with blue edging, and special 17-inch "Double Cross" alloy wheels.

The fancy Highgate cabin features Lounge Leather seats in Dark Truffle with light contrast stitching and light blue piping, as well as stainless-steel pedals, brushed-alloy trim and the Chrome Line interior package.

Finally, the package is identified by Highgate lettering on the side indicator surrounds, door sills and seat tags.
