GENEVA — SsangYong, the small Korean automaker, will introduce a revised version of its Actyon Sports at the upcoming 2011 Geneva Auto Show. The updated sport-utility truck will go on sale in Europe and other markets in early 2012.
Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra acquired a controlling interest in SsangYong late last year. SsangYong does not currently sell its vehicles in the U.S.
The revised Actyon Sports will feature a newly developed 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that meets Euro 5 emissions standards. The engine develops 153 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Buyers can choose from a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
The production version will be offered in two- and four-wheel-drive variants.
