DETROIT — The 315-horsepower Kia GT4 Stinger concept car will debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, as the Korean automaker makes further inroads into the rear-wheel-drive market.

The American-designed GT4 Stinger concept features the latest version of Kia's "Tiger Nose" grille.

Other details include 20-inch wheels and vertical LED headlights.

The concept is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.

Kia Motors America has not spelled out any production plans for the concept.

This is the second rear-wheel-drive Kia vehicle to debut in recent months. The 2015 Kia K900, a rear-drive sedan, bowed at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. It launches in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2014.

Edmunds says: Kia continues to move toward rear-wheel-drive vehicles, which appeal to car shoppers who want cars that put the emphasis on performance and handling.
