DETROIT — The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette rolls down a Kentucky assembly line in the final teaser video ahead of the car's debut on January 13 at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.

"Every gram has to earn its way onto the car," says the Corvette's body shop launch engineer in the video.

The video is not a full reveal of the 2014 Corvette, since it shows just glimpses of the car's roof and chassis. A fully assembly Corvette is not revealed.

"With the 2014 Corvette emerges a revolutionary new engineering process," an accompanying text notes. "Light stiff and strong."

The assembly process at GM's Bowling Green, Kentucky plant is a significant part of the development of the 2014 Corvette and illustrates the scope of the vehicle's redesign. The 2014 Corvette will have just two carry-over parts from the current model and the plant had to be retooled to accommodate the changes to the car.

The video is the fourth in a series of C7 teasers.

Edmunds says: It's getting down to a matter of hours before the wraps come off the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette.
