CHICAGO — Lexus previously has partnered with Five Axis on a number of SEMA showcars. At the upcoming 2011 Chicago Auto Show, Five Axis performs a style and performance makeover on a new Lexus hybrid, the CT 200h, that won't even reach U.S. dealers until March.
The Five Axis Project CT "proves that hybrids can be aggressive," claims Lexus in a bit of pre-show hyperbole.
In fact, the showcar features a Five Axis custom wide-body conversion, with JDSU Dark Passage paint and custom black accents. The CT rides on a Tein Flex coil-over suspension and Five Axis' own custom 19-inch FIVE:AD forged alloy rims, with Stoptech performance brakes up front.
Interior highlights include EcoDesign ultrasuede upholstery and a custom center console with touchscreen interface.
