INGOLSTADT, Germany — Audi will present the 360-horsepower RS Q3 concept crossover at the upcoming 2012 Beijing Auto Show.
The RS Q3 is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter direct-injection five-cylinder gasoline engine driving all four wheels through a seven-speed S tronic gearbox. Audi claims 0-60 acceleration takes less than 5.2 seconds. The RS Q3 can reach a top speed of 165 mph.
The RS Q3 has been lowered 1.0 inch from the production Q3 and rides on 20-inch high-gloss alloy rims fitted with 255/30R20 tires.
The concept features a blue paint scheme with brushed and polished aluminum trim and carbon-fiber accents. Highlights include a front spoiler and rear diffuser rendered in matte-black carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic, a matte-blue roof spoiler and windows framed in matte aluminum.
The mostly black cockpit is trimmed in napa leather and Alcantara, with blue accents. As a unique touch for the local market, Chinese characters replace Arabic numerals on the tachometer.
