I bought my 2001 TT turbo roadster 96,000 miles ago in Ohio. I was "working on the road" for some of that time/miles, so got service in various states/dealerships. In 2005, the EPC warning light came on, along with a grating sound and feel. The local dealer's Audi diagnostic computer said defective YAW sensor, which was changed. Same problem reoccurred in 2006 +/- 13,000 miles later, with the grating/jerking of the ... Read More
I periodically check the Audi TT blogs/forums regarding this timing belt issue. I have a 2000 Audi TT coupe that I purchased in 2003 with 32,000 miles on it. My timing belt broke in June 2006 on my drive from Los Angeles to Houston, TX at 83,000 miles. All of the car's maintenance since I purchased it used in 2003 was performed by the Audi Downtown Los Angeles dealership, even the ... Read More
IBH, You did not do badly on your lease... I got a similar option package without Nav and Bluetooth, but got the Sirius radio and baseball optic stitching, so our bottom lines are similar. Mine, very quickly, is $4,000 down for inceptions and cost cap... $660 per month on a 24-month lease. I thought it was a little high, but it compared favorably to my 2003 Jaguar S-Type. The money factors ... Read More
I think that audi is better than BMW. But it depends on about what TT model you talk. New TT is really very exciting and worth its prise. If you need some interesting and useful information: http://www.car-catalog.com/sports_cars/audi_tt_2006.htm Hope it will help you to choose between BMW and AUDI.

My tranny problems happened in 4th gear. I had to shift or do a 3rd > 5th upshift. When you have a 4 cylinder turbo motor, it could be kind of a drag missing that 4th gear. I brought it in for service and Audi gave me a cheapo A4 to tool around in. I waited for the parts to come from Germany for almost a week. Cost to me - ... Read More
I jumped on the Audi configurator for fun and found this little message after typing in my zip: The 2006 Audi TT models do not meet California emission standards and cannot be sold in California or in those states that have adopted California emission standards, i.e., New York, Massachusetts, Vermont or Maine. TT models from model year 2005 and earlier may be available in these states through our Certified pre-owned program. ... Read More
This is an artist's impression- seeing Audi's recent redesigns (A4, A6, A8, Q7), they will be more conservative than this with the TT. He wouldn't tamper with the gorgeous design that much. And, if you want a 2005, you better get one like tomorrow. Hello, it's 2005 right now! Manufacturers already have mostly 2006 cars! The TT will run out fast, and the lots aren't exactly overflowing with them. But, before ... Read More
Actually, the TT isn't using the 3.2 litre engine in the TT anymore, as far as I know. They're using a new VW/Audi architecture V6, first sampled in the upcoming Passat: 3.6 litre V6, 280 horsepower, ??? lb ft of torque. It will make the TT easily the fastest car in its class, and the ASF will greatly help the slightly sluggish performance of today's TT. I'm not knocking Audi, though- ... Read More
I have been wanting a TT since they first came out. We had to finish child support payments before we could afford the payment on our own "TT" child. We are ready to go (after we sell the SUV) with our purchase. I want to get an '05 TT before they are all gone because I won't have anything to do with this new version that looks like something out of ... Read More
Do you guys think the pricing of the 2006 Audi TT is going to be about the same as the 05 TT or do you think it will differ?
I just received an email back from Audi and they said that the 2006 TT will be available in late Summer or early Fall 2005, not in 2006. Can someone also confirm this.
