  I've had my 2002 TT since 2003, when I purchased it slightly used. It's had regular maintenance and not been driven hard, and it spends most of its time in a nice, heated garage.   Hi. Sorry for your troubles but Audi will only cover damages caused by a failed timing belt. The replacement of the belt is an owner responsibility. It is action like these from Audi that have soured my relationship with this car manufacturer. The worse part, and I hope I am not ruining your day, but this belt was an issue on this same motor on a previous model before the TT ... Read More

  Today I needed my key fobs re charged, I was told my timing belt has hairline cracks. They are replacing it now. I have learned that I should have received a notice about a year ago to have it checked, as the result of a class action suit.   I periodically check the Audi TT blogs/forums regarding this timing belt issue. I have a 2000 Audi TT coupe that I purchased in 2003 with 32,000 miles on it.   Hello. I own a 2001 TT, 180 hp roadster. Have had to replace the instrument cluster in 2002 and now in 2007 it is acting up again. The fuel gauge does not correspond to actual quantity. Audi USA has refused to address this issue. The dealer offered to pay for half. This is not a solution. Thankfully my extended guarantee coverage does include this expensive repair.   If you are having a problem with the LCD display not reading correctly or many /most of the lights are not working then you have a bad instrument cluster. Also your speedometer and fuel gauge may be displaying incorrectly. Typically Audi has refused to replace these units if the vehicle is out of warranty. I have received quotes for: Both dealer offers: 2004 1.8T Roadster -convertible....$23,800 23,500mi + 1more yr warranty 2003 1.8T Roadster -convertible....$22,000 24,700 + certified Your quattro with only 1.8 Turbo engine may be too heavy and not drive as well and therefore harder to sell. not to mention the odd colors..Im in CA where are you?

  I paid $25.4K for 2003 with 13K miles 1 week ago from a dealer. Comparing prices in Colorado Springs, it was a great deal. Paid 14K for 201 with 70K miles dec 06. Also a good deal in this market. Sure, someone got one with 10K miles for $2K from a little old lady ... someone wave the BS flag please.
