I own a 2004 Audi TT Roadster purchased brand new from Tom Williams Audi Porshe. I am the only 1 PROUD owner of this piece work that I wish I never bought. Very cute car and unique at the time in Dec 2003. During my purchase, I was convinced to buy a package for my windshield damage etc. I really thought I didn't need it but to protect my new purchase ... Read More
I've had my 2002 TT since 2003, when I purchased it slightly used. It's had regular maintenance and not been driven hard, and it spends most of its time in a nice, heated garage. On Dec. 20th, the timing belt went at 59,000 miles and took out my head - 46,000 miles short of the 105,000 mile scheduled replacement in my owners manual. I was without a car for three weeks, ... Hi. Sorry for your troubles but Audi will only cover damages caused by a failed timing belt. The replacement of the belt is an owner responsibility. It is action like these from Audi that have soured my relationship with this car manufacturer. The worse part, and I hope I am not ruining your day, but this belt was an issue on this same motor on a previous model before the TT ... Read More
Today I needed my key fobs re charged, I was told my timing belt has hairline cracks. They are replacing it now. I have learned that I should have received a notice about a year ago to have it checked, as the result of a class action suit. I am certain that had I been alerted, I would have been covered now rather than bearing the expense. Anyone have any suggestions ... Read More
where can I find official internet page for "2000-2003 audi tt quattro instrument cluster problem" I am go crazy, I am in Turkey and Audi Turkey says; "We have no idea for this subject." Please halp me.
I periodically check the Audi TT blogs/forums regarding this timing belt issue. I have a 2000 Audi TT coupe that I purchased in 2003 with 32,000 miles on it. My timing belt broke in June 2006 on my drive from Los Angeles to Houston, TX at 83,000 miles. All of the car's maintenance since I purchased it used in 2003 was performed by the Audi Downtown Los Angeles dealership, even the ... Read More
Hello. I own a 2001 TT, 180 hp roadster. Have had to replace the instrument cluster in 2002 and now in 2007 it is acting up again. The fuel gauge does not correspond to actual quantity. Audi USA has refused to address this issue. The dealer offered to pay for half. This is not a solution. Thankfully my extended guarantee coverage does include this expensive repair. I suggest anyone with a ... Read More
If you are having a problem with the LCD display not reading correctly or many /most of the lights are not working then you have a bad instrument cluster. Also your speedometer and fuel gauge may be displaying incorrectly. Typically Audi has refused to replace these units if the vehicle is out of warranty. However in the UK they recalled all TTs from 2000-2003. If you go to the dealer and ... Read More

I paid $25.4K for 2003 with 13K miles 1 week ago from a dealer. Comparing prices in Colorado Springs, it was a great deal. Paid 14K for 201 with 70K miles dec 06. Also a good deal in this market. Sure, someone got one with 10K miles for $2K from a little old lady ... someone wave the BS flag please.
IBH, You did not do badly on your lease... I got a similar option package without Nav and Bluetooth, but got the Sirius radio and baseball optic stitching, so our bottom lines are similar. Mine, very quickly, is $4,000 down for inceptions and cost cap... $660 per month on a 24-month lease. I thought it was a little high, but it compared favorably to my 2003 Jaguar S-Type. The money factors ... Read More

Have drooled over the Audi TT roadster for months, now, selling all that I own to buy one, BUT, after reading all the negative feedback on the car, it sounds like I would need to be a millionaire to keep one running. Am I only hearing from "lemon" owners, or are these dash, oil, tire, complaints common with all TT's / Audi products? Sounds like I should only consider a 2003, ... Read More
This is an artist's impression- seeing Audi's recent redesigns (A4, A6, A8, Q7), they will be more conservative than this with the TT. He wouldn't tamper with the gorgeous design that much. And, if you want a 2005, you better get one like tomorrow. Hello, it's 2005 right now! Manufacturers already have mostly 2006 cars! The TT will run out fast, and the lots aren't exactly overflowing with them. But, before ... Read More
Hello guys, how are you doing? I'd love to buy a 2002-2003 Audi TT and I have a couple of questions. I'm seriously considering the purchase of a 2002 Audi TT Coupe, 180 HP FWD (possibly the AWD) but I'm hesitant based on some owner-feedback. Granted, once you spend upwards of 30K on vehicle, you'll probably defend it with your life (kinda like buying a Macintosh, which I have and will continue to do, regardless of the inflated prices and slower processors) which is why it's hard to get an un-biased opinion. ... I talked to several Audi dealerships, and it sounds like 2003s will come with automatic as an option. They gave me different dates for when the cars will hit the lots though: ranging from October to February. One dealer told me that auto will only come with the 180/nonQuatro model. Interestingly, he quoted $42K as the price for the car, which sounds odd since the comparably equipped manual TT is only ... Read More
