Ah, I had a drain in the stereo system of my 2000 TT. Audi was not helpful at all in fixing it - they replace the instrument panel but the problem persisted. I am thinking it was a short in wiring. This settlement is horseshit. The court granted settlement for the model years of 2000 to 2004. I have a 2001 with 15,000 miles on it and it is not covered by Audi. Why? I periodically check the Audi TT blogs/forums regarding this timing belt issue. I have a 2000 Audi TT coupe that I purchased in 2003 with 32,000 miles on it. My timing belt broke in June 2006 on my drive from Los Angeles to Houston, TX at 83,000 miles. Hello. I own a 2001 TT, 180 hp roadster. Have had to replace the instrument cluster in 2002 and now in 2007 it is acting up again. The fuel gauge does not correspond to actual quantity.
