Cluster Replaced???
Written by: nelmanners on Feb 7, 2012 7:26:39 AM
Hi. I have an audi TT which i purchased in December 2008. It is a 2000 audi tt 225. In my booklet it says that my TT was bought in August 2000 with the first owners details. When I put in a new battery last year, the cluster reset to August 2001. Does this mean my cluster was also replaced in 2001?

Ah, I had a drain in the stereo system of my 2000 TT. Audi was not helpful at all in fixing it - they replace the instrument panel but the problem persisted. I am thinking it was a short in wiring. Tested head unit, tested amplifier, tested CD unit, tested speakers - no dice. Tested amperage at the fuse box - it spiked intermittently high enough to cause a drain of ... Read More

Audi TT manual or auto?
Written by: laptopkid on Aug 13, 2002 4:36:08 PM
I have heard of the 03TT having an auto box as option. This is sooo wrong! The TT is Audi's only sports car. A true sports car needs to stay with manual. (though even the Boxster offers the tiptronic system) And will the next gen. TT have less body roll to compete with the Z4, Boxster, and S 2000? TTs Rule!

RE: To buy or not to buy

I recently purchased a 2002 coupe, 180FWD, so you'll know in advance where I'm coming from. I was looking for a comfortable car that I would enjoy driving, not necessarily the "ultimate" sports car, and the TT fits my expectations very nicely. From my research I would say that the majority of issues with the TT were on the 2000's, some on the 2001's, and the 2002's have been very reliable. ... Read More

My wife is on her second TT and has ordered her third, a 2003 225HP coupe to replace her soon to be off lease 2001 225HP coupe. Her 2000 180HP quattro coupe was chipped (by our dealer). Your comments pertaining to your dealer and your desire to keep his name "a secret" are understood. Would you, however, mind telling me what chip you used? In our 2000 TT, we used an ... Read More

I'm purchasing a 2000 Audi TT quatro 180 with 44000 miles. I'm not sure about the high miles. Will the engine endure for another 150,000 miles. What can you expect? Will the TT's last as long as the old VW's and Porsche's? Please help.

Audi TT versus BMW 323 convertible
Written by: 64440 on Feb 3, 2002 10:45:48 AM
I had my heart set on a 323 BMW convertible, 2000, 5 speed, but I'm having trouble finding the one I want. The Audi TT is looking like a nice alternative. Does anyone have direct experience in comparing these two cars? I would be interested in a 2001 Audi TT, I don't need a 2002.Thanks for your responses.
