Review

Astounding performance, excellent build quality. Combines the best aspects of a performance car with a feeling of luxury and comfort. This car has been completely reliable and a constant joy to drive, all in a wagon package that adds unexpected utility for a family car.

Favorite Features

powerful engine across rpm band; tight suspension without harshness; seats (sport) and steering wheel; comfort for long trips.

Suggested Improvements

Manual 6 speed; get rid of momentary lag when accelerating hard from stop; fog lights not up to headlight quality; rear cup holders flimsy; flaws in navigation system cd coverage.

Start of a Beautiful Relationship

Review

I got the S6 just last month and I love it! It handles well, is responsive, and speedy (does as I ask it to, when I need it - especially in "sport" mode). It's the true "mid-life crisis compromise". The front end belongs to me and the back end belongs to the kids and the dogs. Great utility and fun! I hope it remains reliable in the future.

Favorite Features

Fabulous power, handling and AWD. It's a wolf in sheep's clothing (easier to "hide" from speed patrol). Easy for passing slowpokes; has nice interior & utility.

Suggested Improvements

You call that a cup holder? I carry my cell phone in it. Power comes at a price - would like better gas mileage.

Review

What a shame; a great concept spoiled by poor execution. My initial car had a driveline shake that the dealer was unable to correct despite four visits within the first month. A second car was ordered and had the same problem. Audi of America called after the sale but had no comment or interest in finding the fix.

Concept, overall performance, stealth appearance.

Suggested Improvements

Driveline shake. Noisy front seats. Worthless cupholders. Poor service.

Under the radar high performance Audi S6

Review

Audi's "Never follow" ad campain encapsulates the S6 perfectly in all aspects. The only way to discribe this car is :"it's stiff,responsive, focused & fast". The car is a decathlete in a grey flannel suit; pubesent racers will have to look elsewhere for presumptuous wings and other mutant aero appendages. With 36.4 cubic feet of luggage space and roomy interior for four adults, the S6 is unmatched in it's versatilaty and luxurious comfort. All in all this rocket lux wagon has an equal level of sports performance that will rival any BMW M or AMG sports sedan. Thanks to Len Hunt ,for giving Audi new DNA .

1)The cupholders are practicly useless and need to be improved. 2)The foglights need to be redesigned.

Nothing but Audi

Review

This is my second try for Audi after Audi 80. And I would say nothing better than this car has ever been made, even stupid-bulky Mercedes couldn't be even close by to this vehicle, I have a friend of mine who ownes S500, he really envy me. :))) although my Audi slightly smaller than his potato carrier.

Favorite Features

Interior quality, s-mode driving, ski sock in the rear seats are brilliant idea, painting of Audi is just the best among all upscale cars, it doesn't know at all what is corrosion is, even in very salted conditions.

Suggested Improvements

automatic headlights on/off, cupholders are only for a cup of espresso, nothing bigger could fit in it.

A Real SUV

Review

Probably the ultimate compromise between sport and utility -- as much room as an SUV, way more fun to drive, and any more performance would be too much for North America.

Favorite Features

Engine/transmission, suspension/handling, almost all the toys.

Paddle shifters for tiptronic, auto lights and rain-sensing wipers

Stealth Wagon

Review

I agree with the others here; this is a sports car that just so happens to be in the form-factor of a station wagon. It is extremely difficult to observe posted speed limits. Use the cruise control or you'll be sorry (only took me 2 weeks to get a ticket from a country bumpkin speed trap dude). I can not even fathom what the RS6 will be like. 450 hp? They must REALLY haul on the autobaun.

Design aesthetic...both visually and as it relates to the performance/feel of the car.

Suggested Improvements

The supplied drink holders are nothing short of puzzling. The miles per gallon is nothing short of guzzling.

It can only get better with an RS6

Review

The only thing I crave more with this car is twin turbos. If the RS6 Avant were coming soon I would be twice as happy. I just traded my S4 in on this and am glad I did so. The only thing I miss is the 6 speed but I can do without.

Bring the RS6 Avant to USA. I will not buy the sedan. So Audi get a clue and make sure it comes to our shores.
