I am considering purchasing a 2004 Audi S4. I live in Boston and the car is in New York City. A few things I am a little weary of and wondering what to look out for or look in to. Friend of mine wants to sell his 2004 Audi S4. It's been gently/barely driven for the last several years and parked in a heated garage 24/7. alright, so I have a 2000 S4 right now. it is in the shop more than im driving it. ive had it for 3 years and spent $7000 on top of what i paid for it just in repairs. I was offered to trade my car for a 2004 A4 1.8t ultrasport. Im stuck in between the both of them. I love my car but am tired of all the repair jobs. Audi has really cut back on production of the 06-07 S4's models. They made too many 2004/2005 models with the new V8. Audi is trying to keep the S4 more exclusive and special with the new grill & styling. Read More...

Oil light on my 2004 S4 comes on every 1500miles. I've had it checked for leaks three times by Audi, who refers me to their service bulletin, which says this type of oil burn is not excessive for the S4 engine. I'm still keeping an eye on it, as I suspect this is beyond 2 standard deviations. Ed Read More...
