I also got one of the first cars
available. The power is available at
anytime and comes on smooth and
consistent. The seats are the best I
have ever seen, and the car just begs
to be driven and driven hard. I find
it hard not to grab the keys and head
for the twisties everytime I look at
it. The S4 is surprisingly a very
comfortable ride without the harsh and
punishing rides often associated in
this class of car. I feel I could
drive this car across the country
without a single complaint from me or
my passenger. The V-8 rumble is
irresistable to the ears!

Had the car 3 days. Wow, what a car,
don't want to get out of it. Own 98
cobra as well and this car moves, but
with serious class. Styling is
impeccable with the aluminium trim and
leather/suede seats. Ride is very
firm, but not jarring and holds the
road like glue. Felt very safe in
drive home in the snow.

I just purchased my 2004 Dolphin Gray S-
4 with the premium and XM infotainment
packages and I love it. The car
handles, looks and sounds like a
dream. You can take turns like you
wouldn't imagine. The color is
beautiful. I enjoy driving it more
than my friends convertible 2003 M3 and
have the advantage of 4 doors. You can
really feel the difference a V-8 makes.

Wide console rubs my kneecap
constantly. Navigation system not
accessible by navigator. No moving
map. Just 'directions" on a 2X2 screen
for a $1500 option. Wife's 1997 M3
gets 50% more mileage with same
pickup. Torque-steer on front wheels
annoying. Harsh ride. Gave back to
dealer to sell with less than 400 miles
on it. Will keep M3. A horrible car.

This car has great power! Alhtough it
is rather heavy, but is very balance
through corners and lane change.

Awesome car. It has lived up to every
promise that Audi has made. The V8
power combined with the all wheel drive
handling combine to make quite a
thrilling ride. The exhaust note
is "evil" sounding and adds even more
adrenaline when you punch it.
If you can find one, I'd buy it.

Waited three months, and it was worth
it. The build quality on this car is
amazing. Everything is clean, tight,
and in the right place. The car has a
great rumble and is always ready
to "launch" - not to mention the brakes
are incredible. I looked at the C32
(need 4 doors), and no comparison to
quality. The seats are the best I have
ever felt in a car. Best four door
under $70,000 (AMG E55).

More versatile than an M3 and more
sporting character than a C32 AMG and
S60R...Car and Driver likes it better
than the M3 and C32, and so do I. If
you want a smooth rocket-ship with
plenty of torque on tap for just about
anything you want to do, it's there.
Quattro handles like a dream and the
car looks awesome.

I was lucky to get one of the first
cars to be imported into the USA.
Having waited 11 months for the car to
arrive every one of my expectations
have been met. The handling/
acceleration/braking is second to
none. I clocked over a 1000 miles this
last weekend and could have gone on
for another 1000. The vehicles
standard Recaro seats are very
comfortable whilst at the same time
extremely firm and gripping.
Everything except fuel consumption
gets a 10 in my book but then a few
less miles to the gallon is a small
price to pay for this awesome ride.
