I dont want to really rain on your parade... but it really sounds like your full of ****.... I dont mean to be harsh or critical cause i love audi's... I have a 2002 s4... I have a hard time believing that your first of all running 22psi on stage 2..... maybe you are... but then running a 4.1... I have a stage 3.. and i dont think i run a ... Read More

It's amazing how far some people will go to spin the truth, distort information, and basically attempt to blur the facts about a car with serious reliability issues. I just told you EXACTLY where I got my information. I got all of my information from the Consumer Reports New Car Preview 2006. I just bought it today. I have no interest in misleading anyone. I just read the #'s and posted ... Read More

OK let's have a fact-based discussion. Firstly, which consumer report are you talking about? Go to Consumer Reports.org , and look up the BMW 3-series and Audi A4 reports. Granted, the Audi has atrocious reliability through 2001 (it is that reputation which hurts its resale value now ... ) but has shown consistent improvement since the new shape was introduced in 2002. Indeed, in 2003 it received only excellent and very ... Read More

The truth must really hurt about the Audi S4 being inferior to the M3. If you read all of messages on this site you will see that the statements are supported by facts and not biased propaganda. I went to Kelly Blue Book to check the trade in values for the M3 and the S4 and this is what they said: 2001 BMW M3 in excellent condition with 100,000 mi $20,375 ... Read More

Hello, question on CPO.
Written by: audibon on Mar 23, 2005 9:09:57 AM
Audibon here. Been a long time my friends both old and new. Since I was a part of the A4 board a while ago I will post this question here second but I will also post it on the A4 board. I no longer own my 2001.5 A4. Divorce can do that. However, I have some thoughts of getting the car I actually wanted back then. Either a 2001 or 2002 ... Read More

I'm just guessing- you have an S4 Sedan? Well, my Cabriolet already had a problem. I feel bad to rag on Audi, and this S4 is the best car I've ever owned. Anyway, I've owned it for a little less than two weeks. I haven't needed the A/C or heat yet, because the weather's been pretty perfect here (suburb of Chicago) for the past few days. But, yesterday, it got a ... Read More

bmwccc: Correct, no Bluetooth - sorry don't know what the new options for 2006 will be. Total invoice was almost identical to invoice as per edmunds.com "New 2005 Audi S4 listing" and the dealer "made" ~$1200 over invoice. This was the first 2005.5 S4 sold at my dealership, the car was traded for from another dealership. Good luck with negotiations, I had several other connections to this dealership and I had ... New S4 - 2005.5
Written by: rkb on Apr 27, 2005 12:46:01 PM
I was in the market for a new car (as someone above said - divorce will do that to you) as I "lost" my daily driver, a 2002 BMW 330CiC with Premium, Sport, Cold pkgs. After much research, the choices came down to MB E or CLK, Acura RL, or an Audi A6. After driving everything MB had to offer, including a new CLS (and while the SL was tempting, I ... Read More

2002 S4's
Written by: audibon on Mar 29, 2002 2:03:31 AM
FYI New car shoppers of the 2002 S4. Better snap yours up quick. I did a search on Autotrader and it surprised me with many new 2002 S4's out there. There is a dealer in NJ called Bellavia Audi and they had about 8 2002 S4's in stock. A few were manuals for those that like to shift. They also had many A6 2.7T's and a few in manual as well. ... 2002 A4 vs. 2001/2002 S4
Written by: mjvchicago on Feb 27, 2002 8:27:13 PM
Audi guys/gals - I'm in the market for a new car and have been comparing the A4, S4 and Subaru WRX. I'm aware of the explicit differences with the three: S4 has much higher performance than the A4; the WRX is a little "tinnier" and has less amenities than the Audis; the cost factors; etc. The one thing I'm not sure about is the differences under the skins of the A4 ... Caught your comment "sorry habitat", the only BMW 5 series worth the cash is a 540i. Funny how two people with common background can come to different conclusions! I also happen to own a 1995 Maxima SE. Although at 7 years and 111k miles it still runs like a charm, I am growing anxious to "upgrade" this fall/winter. About the only car I was prepared to rule out is the 540i ... Read More

S4 vs. A6
Written by: habitat1 on Aug 4, 2001 4:07:29 AM
My two cents on the issue from a slightly different value perspective. I have been doing a lot of advance shopping in anticipation of a late fall purchase. Had been looking primarily at BMW and Mercedes, but friends have suggested considering Audi as well. From purely a personal standpoint, I would not select an A6 at $43k over a relatively loaded 2002 530i Sport, which, through discounted Euro delivery, I could ... Read More

S4 2002???
Written by: yns5 on Jun 1, 2001 10:31:13 PM
I just want to set the record straight on this issue. Is there going to be a S4 2002??? From what I heard and even going to European Audi sites, the S4 berline will be discontinued for at least a couple of years until the brand new model comes out (check out http://www.lltek.com/new_a4.htm) but the S4 Avant will continue. Thanx.

Audi Value
Written by: habitat1 on May 25, 2001 6:59:16 AM
I will be purchasing a new car in late 2001 or early 2002. Primarily considering BMW 3 or 5 series. I must confess that I hadn't even seriously considered Audi based upon my impressions from years past of their reliability problems and severe depreciation. However, a few colleagues suggested I at least look at Audi. A quick check of the used car section of the Washington Post this morning found a ... Read More

2002 S4
Written by: markcincinnati on May 13, 2001 7:26:08 AM
I spoke with my dealer on Thursday -- he says there will be a 2002 S4 in the US -- and that it will be virtually identical in every way to the 2001 S4. Audi is doing the same thing they did with the previous S6 -- they are continuing the body, engine, etc. for a short while because demand for the S4 (as it was in 1995 for the then ... Read More

Written by: markcincinnati on May 1, 2001 3:51:09 PM
The performance will be very good, but not as good as the 2.7T'd S4. The back seat will be bigger -- a bit. The amenities will be greater -- ESP w/Brake assist will be either standard or avail. Audi Telematics will be either standard or avail and free for one year. The body/chassis is stiffer -- the car will be quieter and handle better and ride better The price will be ... Read More

I'm also considering buying a S4. I can't see buying a loaded 2.8 when the S4 is just a little more. Any advice? I'm also a little concerned to hear that Audi is discontinuing the S4 in 2002. What's up with that?

2002 S4 changes
Written by: bollinger on Jul 6, 2000 7:13:01 AM
Only one change. There is no 2002 S4. The S4 is cancelled after 2001. This always happens when new models come out. Much as the M3 took a year off when the new 3-series came out, the S4 is disappearing worldwide when the new A4 comes out in Europe, which is 2002. This is what Audi says, at least. I'm sure the S4 will return later, but no one knows exactly ... Read More
