Paid $2000 drive off fee and got a monthly fee of $755 tax included. This includes Audi Care and excess wear & tear coverage ($690 & $650, respectively). Audi S4 Oil Questions

  • Re: New to this Forum - Help (Oil leaks and consumption)! [collsy]

Sounds like you really have a lemon on your hands. Aside from the oil problem that I flagged in the first note of this thread I have not had any other problems (knock wood). The min oil light still comes on after every 1500-2000 miles at which time I put in a quart. I too continue to think this is too much, however I have now called around to a number ... Read More

Audi S4 vs BMW M3

  • Re: darn confising cars [m3_r1]

I couldn't have said this better myself. -17% for the BMW vs -46% for the S4. These numbers are light years apart. Well, yeah. Like I said, I'm not out to mislead anyone and that's what Consumer Reports indicated, so that's what I posted. The #'s are not quite as far apart as you may think though. The way CR's scale is set up, if the S4 was 2 percentage points ... Read More

The last comparison has to do with predicted new car reliability and this is the category that I question the most, and not because I'm trying to defend the S4. The M3 scored -17% which barely falls into the "average" rating. Average included everything from +20% to -20%. The S4 scored -46% which barely falls into the "worst" rating. I couldn't have said this better myself. -17% for the BMW vs ... Read More

It's amazing how far some people will go to spin the truth, distort information, and basically attempt to blur the facts about a car with serious reliability issues. I just told you EXACTLY where I got my information. I got all of my information from the Consumer Reports New Car Preview 2006. I just bought it today. I have no interest in misleading anyone. I just read the #'s and posted ... Read More

I had a set of dunlop winter sport m2's on my 2000 s4, I just got some m3's on my 2004 s4. Both are great but honestly I think the m2's are better. Also going down one inch in rim size helps as you get a narrower contact patch.
