I've got a 2007 Q7 with just over 45K in miles. I am just to the point of needing new pads on the front brakes and have learned that the rotors on these cars are relatively soft and generally require replacement with each new set of pads. That will st you back more that 1000 dollars at the Audi dealer for the front rotors. I have not heard about a lot of other brake roblems. ... Read More...

Car_man kerryjth rbirns1 I have a 2007 4.2 non premium with third row Panorama heated seats and metalic gray/black. It has 37K. I am over by 1000 miles (.25cents per) on my lease ends in three months. Ouch, my 2007 Audi Q7 Premium comes off lease early next year so looking to lease a new car. With market in such poor state, surprised AFS' current rates are so high now. I got my Q7 with .00009 and 56% residual (10K miles). A new Q7 will cost me much more now even if I add in the incentives that they are offering. Read More...

A friend of mine is selling a 2007 Audi Q7 4.2 Premium Quattro with 35K miles. He's asking $35K for it (but I can probably get him down to around $32,500). Realistically if I bought the car I'd sell it again in 3 years (for a number of work and family related reasons). it's actually misleading how they sell it. It's the "audi total maintenance" or something like that...it only covers the service calls. you still have to pay for mundane things like windshill wipers....audi did a big break reconfig in 2007 to combat squeeking breaks and simultaneously removed the rotors from the warranty...think they knew anything? if i ... Just purchased a 2009 Q7 3.6 (Prestige). I have not gotten delivery of the car yet, and was planning to purchase the maintainence package. I'm surprised that it does not cover brakes. I was that between the warranty and the maintainence packages I would not have to pay a dime for the next four years. My current drive is a 2002 530i, and that goes thru brakes every 20K ... Have a 2007 Q7 and have been going round and round with service and customer care about having to replace brake rotors at 22k miles! It is $1000 for the front and will be for the back. Alledgedly, Audi went with "high performance" (re: softer metal) rotors in 2007 to reduce brake squeal and as a result, the pads wear the rotors down and now they need to be replaced at ...
