Audi A8 Lease/Buy
Hey guys, I just wanted to give everyone an update on my Audi experience in Virginia. I have a 2007 BMW 530xi coming off lease. Although I was happy with my car, I was looking to upgrade. I looked at an Audi A8L a few weeks ago. There was one in the showroom, with the B&O audio/Sport package, etc, for an MSRP of around 89,000, and we negotiated to around 84,500. The lease ... Re: How reliable is a used 2006/2007 A8? [djt21]
As the past owner of a 1999 and a 2005 A8, and now an S8, I can say that my experiences have always been favorable. However, I have not had a high mileage car, generally parting with them at around 50k miles or so. In spite of the car being more technologically advanced than the smaller Audis, it seems like they have fewer problems. I should add that my wife and I have also ... Read More...
Re: Lease 07 A8L Should I wait? [hotsko]
Don't count on great leasing deals on the 2007 A8 as time goes by. The new 08 A8 models won't be here until late October or November at the earliest. The A8/S8 is currently the only car that has no year end dealer cash or special financing incentives. That leads me to believe there aren't a whole lot of 07 A8's sitting on dealer lots, and Audi isn't really worried about ... Read More...
Re: Lease 07 A8L Should I wait? [hotsko]
Hi hotsko. Audi's current lease program for the 2007 A8 is scheduled to run through July 31st. It is difficult to say what its August program for this car will be like, but I personally do not expect it to be dramatically different. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum Read More...
How reliable is a used 2006/2007 A8?
I have several friends with older 1998-2003 audi's of various models (with moderate mileage - about 60k), they often complain or electrical gremlins and various other component failures with their cars. I'm looking for feedback from 2006/2007 A8 owners and their reliability experiences. Read More...
Re: 2007 A8 Short Lease Advice [orm1]
What you were told is correct, orm1. Audi Financial Services' Premier Purchase Program is what is known as a balloon note program. Balloon notes use interest rates instead of money factors to calculate the interest portion of payments. I do not personally keep tabs on the details of balloon note programs, but the 2.25% interest rate that you were quoted for this ... Read More...
Re: NAV Discs [mclovin4]
Normally when I do not know an answer, I stand aside and let someone more knowledgeable take it. But since you directed your question to me, I will just tell you that I am not sure. But, since the system is DVD-based, requiring no software upgrade like a PC might, it seems you can safely jump over versions. On the 2005 A8 I currently have for sale, I went from the 2005 ... Re: 2007 A8 Short Lease Advice [timincali]
A8's are in extremely short supply and there are very few on dealer lots right now depending on the region you live in. Audi doesn't have to really push this car int the US market with inventory levels so low, so that's why the residuals are pretty bad right now. Read More...
Re: 2007 A8 Short Lease Advice [timincali]
Hi Tim-in-Cali. The Audi A8 is definitely a very nice car. The selling price that you were quoted, $1,100 over dealer invoice, isn't bad. Audi's March lease program is different than the numbers that you were quoted though. Audi Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 A8 Short Wheel Base with 12,000 ... Read More...
2007 A8 Short Lease Advice
Car_Man I started my quest for a new car this week and had no intentions of buying an A8. Well needless to say, one look and I was hooked.
